Your ideal top 12 kind of acts next year.

So basically what would you like the final 12 to be like next year? type of singer ect.

Girls
1. An Adele/Stacey Solomon type - someone you wouldn't expect to be an amazing singer.
2. A soul singer
3. Indie quirky - Florence and the machine. Ellie goulding type

Boys.
1. A male indie version of Florence and the machine, diana vickers
2. A male with good vocal range
3. A rap act? - a good non cringey rap act.

Overs
1. someone talented! who isn't a one trick pony
2. a singer/song writer type who can play piano well ect.
3. ?

Groups
1. if manufactured I would like to see a group with like 1 girl and 3 guys, a british Black Eyed peas, that would make the girl less of a put off to audiences and if they were vocally strong and diverse in song choices.
2. a girl soul group, like 4 beyonces?
3. a guy rock group, a british Kings of Leon?

I think the groups would be the strongest, but would it be good tv without a weirdo?
thoughts?

They should change the group category into a band category to make it less of a joke.

    Girls
1.Someone who could play a guitar or something like matt did this year, I can't recall a girl ever doing that
2.Someone who isn't afraid to do there own thing.
    3. Indie - ellie goulding/diana vickers/florence and the machine

    Boys.
    1. A kind of Joe Brooks singer/songwriter
    2. A male with good vocal range
    3. A young person not aspiring to be the next Justin Bieber

    Overs
    1. someone talented! who isn't a one trick pony
    2. someone who has been trying for a long time, and isn't a gimic (storm, though better than him would be goood.)
    3. An entertainer who sings properly (sorry Wagner :()

    Groups
    1. A mixed group
    2. a group who will be allowed to play instruments
    3. a non-manufactured group.

Mines aren't too far from the OPs. And I agree with Roamed that they should have bands but I'd like them long with group (obviously, I basically showed that above, I'm so thick :D)

    Girls:
A young girl with a stunning range and actual control over it
Someone who's a bit of a rock chick, but likeable. A sort of mini-Ruth
Someone a bit innocent and quirky, but who can sing/perform the hell out of a tune.

    Boys:
    A British Bruno Mars
I'd like to see a more urban male act make it through. They've had several at bootcamp before, but they've never made it to the lives.
A teenage boy who isn't a J-Biebs/other "heartthrob" clone, and has a genuine interest in good music.

    Overs:
A talented female or male soul singer with a strong enough mind to not be made boring.
A female opera singer that can make it current.
A country artist (because the show's never had one)

    Groups:
A quirky, indie pop girlband who make it past Week 6.
An urban mixed hip hop and vocals group that make N-Dubz look even more like *****.
A female/male duo that are genuinely passionate about music and can play instruments.

People who actually want to be singers not just "I enjoy singing, and I get told I'm good so why not!"

    Girls:
    An Ellie/Florence quirky Indie girl
    A proper rock chick
A young country-pop artist (not too country so she can be sucsessful here, yet country enough to break America, like Taylor Swift)

    Boys:
    A quirky male Indie act
A young, fresh, unique and cool R&B singer
    A singer/rapper (basically a male Cher)

    Groups:
A really good girlgroup that can win
    An urban group (mixed male/female)
    A rock group (all male)

    Overs:
A really good male soul singer that can also pull of new song choices
A big voiced female diva a la Leona/Alex/Treyc but that bit older
A female rock chick a la Ruth

Oh, and a good idea would be for the groups to have names that aren't cheesy/cliched like they usually are... And they wouldn't be manufactured from rejects either...

All I really want is no pathetic manufactured groups, no novelty acts and people with genuine musical talent. I don't care if they don't write their own material or play instruments but 12 (or 16) finalists who can actually sing and perform with a bit of presence would be a massive step in the right direction.

This year I think 6 of the top 16 definitely should not have been there if you are looking at the singing talent that was available - with a few others whose "X Factor" I would question.

Male indie version of Diana Vickers? How in any way is Diana Vickers indie?

Aiden was the closest to indie this year.

No "quirky" to try to compensate for the talent void. e.g. Diana Vickarse, Aiden Grimshow, Whacko Weasel and that ilk.

Are you a producer doing research for next year's show? :p Seriously though, I could imagine the producers have a list like that during the auditions and bootcamp. They then give their final choices to the judges, who inform the contestants at judges houses ;)

Nice idea but won't happen. Groups are a lot less hassle as they can sing to a backing track and bands would take up a lot more rehearsal time.

    Male:

Someone who is pregnant and is due on the day of the final
Someone who can dance really well
    Someone like TreyC Cohen again

    Overs:

Three non manufactured groups who have actually been singing together for a while

For all those hoping for rock bands, indie/rock singers. It's not going to happen. They do their best to eradicate anybody who has a bit of flare from the competition. Just look at Kirsty Crawford and Hollie Burnes. Neither of them were ~the perfect popstar~ so they were either not shown or thrown in to the Xtra Factor despite being one of the best auditions in Glasgow!

However, since i've posted i'll also make a list.

    Girls:
    - A Rachel Adedeji/Treyc Cohen type. Good singer with a very powerful voice.
    - A young girl who doesn't have the best of voices, but she's good enough and "cute" looking.
    - A girl aged around 20/22 that does uptempo and lots of contemporary songs.

    Boys:
    - A younger version of Craig David. Soulful voice and the ability to rap. Not overplayed/overrated like Cher and can actually sing not screech.
    - A person at the upper end of the category age limit (about 27 assuming it'll be the Over 28s again)
    - A person who doesn't have the best of auditions, and only narrowly gets through but then has a ~journey~ effect and gets continuously better through Bootcamp/JH and comes out in Week 1 and absolutely nails a performance.

    Overs:
    - Elesha Moses (who has definitely applied again)
    - A male singer in the late 30s to mid 40s who has a husky voice.
    - Somebody totally different to everybody else who has ever been on the show. A 70 year old or a person in the late 50s who can dance and is a really good entertainer. But gets booted off week 1-3.

    Groups:
    - Trucolorz. Hope they come back so much. :/ We've never had an asian finalist before and they're also very quirky and glee-like. They'd probably not win it, or even have a chance, but I think they'd get a warmer reception than most girl groups.
    - A male vocal harmony group.
    - Probably an engineered group, because that has become ritual now. I'd suggest a uni-sex one though. Perhaps 2 and 2? Or 2 from one category, 2 from another and then 1 from one of them whose a fantastic singer and should've gotten through solo.

    GIRLS
1- An indie inspired teenager- a bit like Lisa Mitchell on Oz Idol
2- Someone like Joelle. A big voice that isn't entirely polished.
3- A white girl with a very big voice- a kind of female Adam Lambert.

    BOYS
1- Foreign boy who can lapse into opera- like Nicolo meets Rhydian
2- Someone not afraid to take on unusual songs by artists like The Cure & Frou Frou.
3- Teenager like John Wilding who has a great voice but isn't down the whole "Teen Idol" route.

    OVERS
1- Female rock/ alternative singer- a bit like Crystal Bowersox
2- An older (and thin) diva- will go around Week 3.
3- A husky voiced rock journeyman- to be the housewives favourite.

    GROUPS
    1- TruColorz
    2- An R'n'B/ Hip-Hop group with that N-Dubz sound
3- A gospel inspired female group
