I used to open this thread on the Beeb boards and it was always pretty popular.

I unashamedly stole the idea from Kate Lawler's drive time show on Kerrang! Radio (105.2 FM if you like your rock music ;)). Simply rate all things Strictly you like and slate all things Strictly you dislike.

I'll set the ball rolling....

Rated - Artem. He's a hottie!

Slated - We've got to wait until October 1st until the show starts properly.

Rated - Vincent first and foremost.

Rated - A more mature cast overall.

Slated - Tess's Tower if it has replaced the Tesspit for when the couples are scored? I know the Tesspit was tacky looking, but it's so familiar.

It'll be a long walk for some of the celebs, especially after a particularly energetic routine.

Perhaps they'll have to install a Stannah stair lift (other stair lifts are available).

    Rated - Vincent and Flavia

    Slated - V & F's wires routine. I wasn't that enamoured.:o

I'm feeling like there is not a lot to rate...so I suppose I'll immediately get labelled as a miserable old stuck in the mud!

Slated - the wardrobe department who did Ann's dress. She said she didn't want sexy but she could have still been dressed more elegantly. That was actually a purple potato sack surely? All it needed was for them to sew a correctly sized bra into the dress and a couple of darts to improve it significantly.

Slated - pairing Anton and Ann. What a height discrepancy. It makes a mockery of her having even a fighting chance at learning to dance a reasonable dance (and makes Anton's job a lot harder. He will have to dance whilst seriously compressed into his knees now). She would have done much better being paired with Darren, who they unfortunately demoted. I'm sure Darren would have been just as much a gentleman to Ann.

Rated - the other partnerships look reasonable based on height and hopefully personality.

Slated - the lack of a proper introduction to the new dancers in the dance troupe. I think they should have got a bit more credit than just their names.

Rated - Tess' new 'backstage' area. I think it's good that the contestants can see what is actually happening on the floor rather than via videolink.
