As the Strictly Come Dancing cast announcement draws nearer, various celebrities are being rumoured to take part – one being Olympic diver Chris Mears.
The Sunday People claims that Mears, who competed in the 2012 games, will be hoping to replicate the success of fellow Team GB diver Tom Daley, who finished third with Aliona Vilani in the inaugral series.
“Chris is hot property – as well as being world class in his sport, he’s a talented DJ and producer and was named in Attitude’s Hottest Men in the World list. Can he add dancing to his list of talents?”, a source for the paper says.
Mears can be added to a long list of rumoured stars that includes Gabrielle, Germaine Greer and James Marsters.
Other celebrities recently suggested are Holby City’s Chizzy Akudolu and Wet Wet Wet lead singer Marti Pellow.
However, EastEnders actress Lacey Turner has apparently turned down an offer in order to partake in ITV’s upcoming ‘All Star Shark Jumping’ series.
The line-up reveal will take place in thirty minutes. That's enough time for a bath. Or a long shower. Or a slow walk. Or a long walk. I can't decide the lengths of your walks for you. Anyway, be back here for that!
'Strictly Come Dancing' line-up revealed by the BBC
The fourteen-strong line-up for the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing has been announced by the BBC.
Fresh from the 2014 World Cup, the cast is headed by current England football manager Roy Hodgson, and Germaine Greer, author of The Female Eunuch.
Also taking to the floor for a shot at the glitterball trophy are pop singer Jamelia, Buffy actor James Marsters and supermodel Marie Helvin.
Representing the world of sport are Olympic diver Chris Mears and champion golfer Justin Rose, whilst comedian Bob Mortimer - best known for his double act with Vic Reeves - is also included in the list.
Completing the line-up are three celebrities from the world of acting: Holby City's Chizzy Akudolu, EastEnders' Charlie Brooks, and Samantha Bond, perhaps most famous for her portrayal of Miss Moneypenny in the James Bond film series.
Strictly's launch will air next Thursday, followed by the first live performance show takes place on the Saturday.

Hehe. Thanks.
Any names mentioned that you reeeaaally want to see in the cast?
I didn't have you down as the type to like her. I'm sure you enjoyed the other EastEnder rumour, too.
I don't like Charlie Brooks because her character was the reason Lacey had to leave the Square in the first place. >:(
IT'S FICTION, GODAMMIT.
Ahem. Stand by for some more rumours, Lacey-less or not. ;-)
In my head it's real.
I'm sure many wish it was.
Lacey Turner would be nice.
*hides in the corner*
I've a lot of time to spare, yes.
