Where do you plan to go if possible next year?

I've always wanted to tour the USA, that would be a dream come true.

More realistically would be The Lake District again :)

Hope those going away have a fantastic time.

We're doing something a bit different this year and going on a Great Rail Journeys holiday to Switzerland. Having only been on cruises and seen the edges of countries it will be great to see inland.

    That sounds really good.

I'm going on a Belgian brewery holiday for 10 days with friends. Also spending a couple of days in Amsterdam (not really keen on that bit) and a night or 2 in France. We'll be in the UK for 2 days to pick up the kids and have a meal at The Hand & Flowers, catch up with friends before flying back home.
I do lots of short breaks throughout the year, weekends in Portland, New York and San Francisco but will be broadening my horizons by going to a few more cities to see my footie team play away games.

Will be going to the UK (home) and then on to Majorca in May. Back here in July for family coming over - NYC and Carolina Beach all booked.

Hope in autumn to go to New Orleans for a few days and then get a streamboat up the Mississippi.

funds are low so we are going to Pontins this year LOL.........Obviously I would love to go somewhere exotic but to me just getting away from work and stresses of life, anywhere is a good place so Pontins will do fine :D

Then it'll be serving its purpose. :) That's the important thing, getting that much needed change of scenery for a few days or more.

Ibiza a week on Monday. Hopefully Sweden in June.

And you've only recently returned from India! :o I'd really like to see Sweden at some point.

But this year, I'd like to go to one of the Med islands, either in May/June or September. I'm thinking either Ibiza, Mallorca, or Crete.

Oh Tess, I almost teared up reading that... it's one of my dreams, well Russia on the Orient Express really :D But I love Switzerland so much, been there several times.

It will make such a massive change from the cruise.

Can you smoke anywhere on it?

I plan to go on a package guided tour around Canada and the USA one day.

Thats a lot to cover Oliver.
We did USA East to West with Great Rail Journeys over 21 days.
I likened it to a restaurant "taster" menu.
You sample a little bit of everything.

Canada we did by coach (British Columbia mostly) then switched to a cruise ship for Alaska.
(Package tour with Travelsphere - I can recommend them)

The latter trip has truly breathtaking scenery.
The former has "excitement" and iconic buildings and landmarks.

    Whatever you do, do it!!
