Yep, the shot in Episode 2 is of the Turning Tower (it's at 25:27 on my iplayer download) but the shot's from the Kronprinsen looking north towards the Turning Tower, then the next shot is from the Kronprinsen looking west over the city of Malmo and the Bridge.

    Cheers for that Andy.

So this is the building the killer lives in. He can see the Twisting Tower from his window, and the bridge as well.

Maybe the killer is narked because the TT is a higher building than his?:D:D

    PS
I suppose all this would be self evident to the Danes/Swedes. They must wonder how thick are some of us(or is it just me:o:o)

Stops you getting smacked in the face when you go to pick the mail up. Which hurts. Believe me.:D:D

Why would your front door open when you pick the mail up?

Yep, Miriam_R, they are speaking their mutually comprehensible but separate languages (especially when our Danish friends speak slowly and clearly) and there's more info in my post above and here too:

    Quite an education, Tak!

Indeed, and even more interesting, nobody questions their authority/competence because they're female. No "She only got that promotion because she sleeps with the boss/fills the quota" and such crap. Refreshing.

While I don't mind sexual tension on some occasions it is, as you say, refreshing (very much actually).

    Welcome to the club! :D

I enjoyed that- my theory at the moment is that Life on Mars/ 70's porn star moustache (Stefan) is the killer! It has obviously taken some years to set up, he seems to breeze in and out of the office with a lot of autonomy (look how he creepily rehoused Veronika) and was out and about at the time of the drop off. (Although the gloved hands looked female to me). Whoever is doing it has extensive computer skills though (not August, too young and glued to his screen). The killer surely must be in some governmental job to have access to the statistics and knowledge of jurisdiction-maybe someone who has done a social study? Did Stefan intimate that he killed Charlie??? What is that snake mark on his arm? Why does it need creaming?

My other theory is that something bad is going to happen to the widow twanky of heart man- she railroaded that transplant- maybe something about the inequalities of medical treatment will crop up?

BIB - I wondered about the moisturizing thing too. The "sister" was also scratching a lot but thought that was just due to rough life on streets or drugs etc but maybe not. Perhaps the siblings have an hereditary skin condition ?!

BK - Thought the mark on their arms was a "W" but suppose could be an "S"

I never normally watch murder thrillers but this has me hooked.

Plus as my wifes half Danish I recognise a lot of the locations from visits to Copenhagen & Malmo.

A bit like the "corpse" in the first episode :)

As for Mrs Woman in the hospital she seemed to be a fair bit younger than her husband so maybe they had signed some sort of pre-nup that she wouldn't get a single øre in inheritance unless he lived to a certain age.

That might explain why she was so eager to:

    A. Get the heart to him
    B. Bribe the doctor
    C. Browbeat Vagn into him letting her have his son's heart

Has anyone got this weeks issue of the Radio Times, just wondered if there's a lengthy interview with the cover girl?

Sister stole the same cream from the bike shop/supermarket place as well. Stefan has two tubs of it, A white one and a pink one. He choses the white one. The white one has a green top. Eczema?

Stefan's scar looks like an S with a line on the top(or bottom). Looks like a sine wave. Suicide attempt maybe. I think Sonja just has the S. But we don't get a real good look at hers. Could it be a brand, not a scar?

Reminded me of James Gumb- It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose.

Well spotted BK re eczema cream

The Transplant couple must be loaded if the wife offered to pay for a new CT Scanner - £300,000 for a basic model up to £1M for top of range (according to my hubby who installs them)

    Afternoon MrsMR, by the way.

Though not if I'm talking bollocks. Which has been known to happen:D:D Singing Detective was in my mind.

    PS
Swedish Halfords selling eczema cream? That may be too much thinking about it.

And was that woman's bloke at her flat who had a scrap with porn man the journalist?

She's called Veronika and no her abusive husband is Sören - not Daniel, the journo. The social worker Stefan helped her get away from the husband.

V's husband is a druggie as well.
Has he helped her though? Or is it a case of frying pan-fire.;)

Stefan is some king of social worker isn't he.

What is it with Scandanavian flats having doors that open outwards? Surely it's a security risk, is it a cultural thing perhaps?
All fire exit doors open outwards, so maybe its the sane idea

    Hi all.:)

Was searching for a thread on this yesterday, but couldn't find one until later.... and realised Denley had started one almost a week ago.:o

Thoroughly enjoyed the first two episodes.
Only read snippets of this thread but glad someone pointed out that Saga has Aspergers. (don't know much about it, only what I've read.)
It would explain her lack of empathy towards the journalist trapped in his car. I thought that was well done. Her casual acquaintance with the man she picked up was rather amusing.lol

(At first, I thought she could be related to Carrie in Homeland.;))

I really like Saga - there's something sympathetic about her. :)I've seen the Danish cop, Martin before, but can't remember where.

Still allowed to smoke in hospitals ..interesting.

I wonder if we're going to find out, that that lady's husband was leading a double life.

Did the retro man purposely cause a friction between the young couple? Did his sister's child die from a bomb exploding in a bag? That's what I understood at the end, but not sure it's correct.

The tattoo, itchy skin and creams completely passed me by.:o :o

Will be tuning in next week.

Yes he is indeed a junkie. Well yeah we obviously have to wait to see if Stefan has actually helped in the longrun or what his motives are.

He appeared in the first season of the Killing:

    Hiya RP:):)

Stefan provoked Veronika's husband and then put the cops onto him after he attacked the car. He then took V to the house for safety or.....

Stefan's sister? I thought it was some kind of Nursery Rhyme she kept repeating. Stefan knew it as well so could connect with her. Maybe our Swedish/Danish experts can sort that out for us. Never occurred to me Charlie was a real person. Interesting.

Thank you very much, Verence.:) Now I know where I've seen him before, I can carry on watching the series without it bugging me.:p

He looks much better (younger) in this, than he did in the Killing.(imo)

IF Charlie was Sonja's kid and somehow died as a result of her druggie lifestyle then MAYBE Stefan was concerned that something similar could happen to Veronika's kids so he stitched up Soren and found Veronika and the little 'uns a place in the country

As has been said before a lot of the actors in The Bridge will have appeared before in at least one of:

Either of the Swedish Wallanders, The Killing and/or Borgen
