If you'd been a girl and not a boy (or VV)....
you had been born earlier....
or later....
or your mum had her way with your name and not your dad (or VV)....

what name would you have been?

If i'd been a girl - Jeniffer....

if my dad had of had his way "Kevin Raymond Vivian Trevor Terence Stephen Stephen Trevor Glenn Terence Paul Michael Joseph Philip Graham Bryan Kenneth Philip Raymond Peter Anthony Peter" (in no particular order) - England's world cup 82 squad...

In the end - Kevin was my first name, my dads name became my middle name.....

Mum said she'd have called me Keith if I was a boy - don't think Dad was allowed an opinion.

I don't know what I'd have been called if I had been a girl - and given it's 32 years since the event I doubt my parents remember either.

But I'm surprised I'm not George or William as they are the common names in my family. I'm probably the first Tony in the family for many moons, and my middle name of Ian may hark back to Scottish heritage (but spelt wrong)...

Still, my initials TIM spell a name as well... nice, but dim :p

I was going to be called Siobhan but my mum couldn't spell it so I ended up being named after a barmaid my dad fancied... and my middle name was my big sister's best friend at the time!

Unfortunately names for boys wasn't an issue as my mum "didn't want a boy!"

My son would have been Isobel were he a girl - my choice, my husband could only reply "necessary on a bike" everytime I mentioned the name...

Alan Thomas ... same for both of my sisters. They never got to use the name, though.

My dad , who was Welsh wanted to call me Myfanwy.
He left it to my mum to register my birth but mum didn't know how to spell it so I ended up with Pamela..................not too bad as the shortened version is Pam, the shortened version of Myfanwy is Fanny !

If I were a boy my mother wanted to call me Patrick. Mind you I still get nightmares over the girls names she very nearly had for me - Yvonne Fiona

My dad is a big jazz fan and when he first met my mum he said he was going to call his first son Theolonius Monk. Thank god my mum overruled him.

Had I been a girl I would have been called Claire or Susan.

I was named Steven, though only my mother doesn't call me Steve. This was apparently the only name my father liked.
The discussion when my younger brother arrived on the scene must have been interesting.

My mother named me Daniel, however, I was told that had I been born a girl, I would have been called Laurel instead.

My Mum was a massive fan of the show Bewitched. She wanted to call me Samantha or Tabitha. BUT, my Mum had chosen my older sisters name, so it was Dad's turn. He called me Nicola (but im known as Nikki)

If I'd been born a girl I'd have been a 'Jessica' apparently. To be fair, I quite like that name.
