That is a shame as it's the only HD music channel. Plus it seems to show some good live sets.
Yeah, it's easily the best MTV channel (but was better in the first few years, before it became very pop heavy).
It seems to be continuing outside the UK. DIgiGuide shows listings well into July but with a schedule designed for no ad-breaks (E.g. a 60 minute show is listed as 45 minutes) which is normal for the international version.
MTV Live HD (386) closes down at 6am on Wednesday 29th June.
They should replace the channel with 5 usa or Spike HD or some other channel that is not HD or even CNN HD that one is taking forever to come on the EPG. ?
HD channels are really slow to come and more are closing.
you think it would be the other way.

It's on a sky transponder, I'd guess viacom don't like the costs.

The Virgin Media EPG is also showing the international listings from Saturday 2nd July so it looks like it may be staying on that platform. Would be interesting to find out why they're pulling it from Sky.
It's a shame it's going, I quite like it and I'd rather watch it than see the horrendous picture quality on the MTV SD channels. I hope they do something else with it though if it isn't a monetary decision. Viacom could do with another HD channel for us, especially for the Channel 5 network. 5 USA HD would be most welcome!

Aren't Sky trying to cut costs by lowering what they pay channels to be part of their packages, the carriage deal was probably coming up for renewal.
no clues as yet as to what these channels will become in the end.[/QUOTE 6010 is showing this programme is not available message and 6011 is now showing a Sky store promo.

I thought it was going to be part of the basic package according to the Sky weekly platform changes posted on their user forum.
I can't see Sky being bothered about it being on Freesat.
