Name of ITV Drama?

I remember watching a drama on ITV a few years ago where a little girl witnesses her mother getting murdered.. I can't remember the exact plot though. I was sure it was called "Sweet Child of Mine" but I can't find any trace of it online. Does anyone remember it?

    I'm afraid I can't be of any help to you, but I remember it too. It was in several parts and I would have thought it was only about two years ago that it was on, although time goes so fast that I suppose it could have been longer. I seem to remember that the part where the little girl saw her mother being murdered was set in the past and then we saw her as an adult with a child of her own. Unless of course, I am thinking of another play.

    Wasnt this on this year? Did the woman meet her killer in the hospital? And nobody would believe her

    Yes, that's the one I'm thinking of. It was good. I don't think it can be the one the op is thinking of though as she says it was on longer ago than that.

    I'm pretty sure it was on in late 2005 or early 2006.. although I'm not positive. It was definitely around that time though

    Yeah, the scene where she sees her mother being killed was a flashback. The little girl is hiding in a wardrobe or cupboard.

    This is going to annoy me now because I specifically remember somebody saying "Did you watch that drama called Sweet Child of Mine last night?" the day after it aired... unless I'm going mad!

    Could you be thinking of the film The Secret Life Of Bees as that has a girl hiding in a wardrobe where see sees her mother being murdered by her father?

    From one of the reviews
    One scene in particular when she is watching her mother get brutally murdered whilst hiding in the cupboard is so moving.
