I've just come off Julie/Matisse threads.. Probably will get banned (again) for calling it like it is. But Jesus Christ! Some people are seriously deranged. This is a light hearted entertainment show! Some people's comments are seriously worrying!

    There's lots of conspiracies circulating that many dogs have fallen off the tightrope and died! Matisse has been apparantly cloned many times!

    I think animal rights activists are muddying the waters but I do think the scandal is more than a bit of fluff as some are making out.

    First of all she was being criticised for forcing her dog into doing things in the act and then it turns out she won't force the dog into doing something it's not comfortable with and she's still being criticised. It was a dog act and, for me, it doesn't matter if she used a stunt double. She obviously knows her dogs well and I think it's good that even though Matisse could probably have walked the tightrope she knows he doesn't like it so didn't make him.

    Does a blind van driver take the bodies away every morning?

    Maybe she should have done a trick where Matisse enters a cabinet on the stage and immediately jumps out of a cabinet in the upper circle.
