Jodie may have been a sex-obsessed self-unaware **** but she did not set out to hurt other people in the bb house. Unlike barrymore and charley. I dont think they're similar.
Actually I think they were both were exactly in the position to be giving her advice. They'd been there, done it, worn the t-shirts, wrung them out to dry and were still standing tall.
They had both been 'victims' of press criticism - most of it self inflicted. Both had ways of dealing with it, without whining the whole time that they were being badly treated. Barrymore advised Jodie to leave the country if she couldn't cope with it, just as he had done. Both had been through a lot worse than Jodie, and they were offering her the benefit of their experience.
They had no reason to want to hurt her - just think she just totally pi**ed them both off with her self indulgent claptrap about how she had a worse life than anybody, that everybody was horrible about her - and yet earlier on she had been spouting total vitriol about Katie Price and her disabled son. Basically, Barrymore told her that if she couldn't take it - she shouldn't be dishing it out. Pretty sound advice IMHO.

I'd have to disagree. Its this type of behaviour that causes friction and fights as they have such a blinkered view on what their words and actions have on other people. They think they are simply 'keeping it real' where in reality they have no comprehension on reasoned and articulate thought.
Jodie Marsh has wrote epic proportions of blogs where she has lashed out on innocent people simply because they choose to have a different perspective than her or have failed to recognise her superiority. (She once lashed out on a poor waitress in Ayia Napa who asked her to get of a table at closing time and was subjected to a personal attack calling a prostitute who only earned £3 an hour whereas she earned £20,000 a day)
They have such little regard for the people around them and such is their own lack of self awareness that they fail to listen to any form of criticism, however well meaning. They fail to grow as human beings and inevitably are scorned and mocked by their peers, as we can see on this board here.
