Sally: Thanks for coming to see me today Tanya, I can feel a lot of spirits in your presence. Have you had a turbulent life?
Tanya: You could say that, yeah!
Sally: There's a young man reaching out to you, he says he shouldn't be here. Any idea who that might be?
Tanya: It could be my ex husband's son or nephew, both died suddenly a few years ago.
Sally: He says he wants you to keep away from his dad, you only live once and you don't know when your time is up. Go out and find yourself a man who'll treat you right. This Kirsty situation is Stacey all over again, once a cheat always a cheat! Does that makes sense?
Tanya nods.
Sally: He said to give his love to the girls, Oscar and Grandma Dot.
Tanya: I will do!
Sally: There's another name coming through..........Bill.......William, any idea who that might be?
Tanya: It’s my dad **clutches chest tearfully**
Sally: Oh darling, he says he is at peace now and that he’s so proud of you. He wants to thank you for putting him out of his misery and that he was with you all the way through your cancer fight!
Tanya smiles while wiping her tear stained face.
Sally: Oh and he wants to add that unfortunately you used all Cora’s parenting techniques. Let your girls take responsibility for their own actions for once in their lives and get Lauren the help she needs .
Tanya: That told me! Any wine Sally?
Sally looks amused.
Tanya: Are you ok Sally?
Sally: This one's a right charmer. He tells me he's a reformed character who died a 'orrible death. I had a gastric band fitted 12 months ago and lost 7 stone and he was saying if only he had some flesh and bone, he’d ravish me!
Tanya: I'd rather not talk to him.
Sally: He's toad-like, likes Sinatra.
Tanya laughs: I know what he looks like darling. He’s a hideous man who I slept with in another life.
Sally: Well you can leave us two to it then………

Abi finds her mother packing a suitcase and is shocked to realise what she is planning. Discovering that Max has no idea what Tanya is about to do, Abi urges her to tell him.
Love The Way You Lie
At the same time, over at the flat, Max is disgusted after finding out that Kirsty has been lying to him about her 'pregnancy' for all this time. He makes it clear that he doesn't want to be with her anymore and rushes out.
Love Me Again
When Max then arrives at Tanya's place, he tells her how Kirsty has been deceiving him. Laying his heart on the line, Max adds that Tanya is the one he really wants to be with and always has been. Knowing that Max will stop her from going through with her plan, Tanya tries to stall him by promising to think about what he's said. However, when Abi interrupts and urges her mum to tell Max what she's planning, Tanya is forced into telling the truth.
Tanya pleads with Max to see that she's doing the right thing, as they've become toxic together and it's affecting their children. The former couple are soon interrupted when a drunken Kirsty knocks at the door. Max tells Kirsty to go away, while Tanya makes it clear that there's nothing going on with her and Max, but she doesn't want Kirsty anywhere near Lauren in the state she's in.
Tanya pleads with Max to see that she's doing the right thing, as they've become toxic together and it's affecting their children. The former couple are soon interrupted when a drunken Kirsty knocks at the door. Max tells Kirsty to go away, while Tanya makes it clear that there's nothing going on with her and Max, but she doesn't want Kirsty anywhere near Lauren in the state she's in.
Time To Say Goodbye
In the end, a devastated Max realises that Tanya - the real love of his life - is not going to change her mind. As they say a tearful goodbye to each other, the love between them is evident and it will never go away. But will Max be able to keep the rest of his family together, or will they decide to leave alongside Tanya?

Criminal record: Arrested for drinking and stealing a kid's bike when she was a teenager; went to prison to cover up for Lauren.
7 years ago yesterday, Tanya stepped foot on the Square for the first time. Over her the course of her time on the show, she has been at the centre of several big storylines but the time has come to say goodbye, who knows when or if we'll see her again?
Before appearing onscreen, Tanya grew up on a council estate in East London, dabbling with drugs and alcohol and falling pregnant by Max Branning at eighteen. As a result, Tanya became estranged from her mother (her father died of cancer when she was in her early-teens) and from her sister Rainie, who went on to become a drug-addicted prostitute. Max left his wife Rachel and six-year-old son Bradley to be with Tanya. Their daughter Lauren was born in March 1994, and they married in August 1994. She and Max also have a daughter called Abi who was born in 1996.
Tanya arrived in Albert Square after Max's car broke down, not realising in fact Max was visiting his family. She found out that he was having an affair with Gemma Clewes (who was played by Emmerdale’s Natalie J. Robb) but forgave him. To make it up to her, Max bought 10 Turpin Road for her, which she turned into a beauty salon named 'Booty'. Tanya after much pressure from Max gave birth to Oscar. Unbeknown to Tanya, Max had started an affair with Stacey Slater who was Max's son's wife. When the affair was revealed on Christmas Day on a video recording recorded by Lauren, Tanya asked for a divorce and started a relationship with Sean Slater. Tanya plotted to bury Max alive and with the help of Sean, they drugged Max and buried him in the woods, ALIVE. Tanya later felt guilty and dug him up and broke up with Sean. Tanya then had to face her sister, Rainie, turning up as she did the year before, claiming she was clean of drugs, though tested positive, so Tanya ordered her to leave. Tanya then started a relationship with Max's brother Jack and Max tried to split them up. Tanya and Max later shared a kiss, after Max was abducted and beaten by Jack. Max was run down in a deliberate hit-and-run. Tanya admitted to the police that she tried to kill Max; however, Lauren was the culprit. After the police found out Lauren was the driver, Max and Tanya suffered a bumpy relationship which ended up in Tanya forgiving Max and allowing him to move back in, but when she found out they were in debt and Max had been hiding it, she left with Lauren and Oscar after finding out Booty was to close down, with Abi refusing to go with Tanya and staying with Max.
In 2011, Tanya returned to Walford with her new fiancé, Greg Jessop. Rainie and her mother, Cora Cross arrived in Walford for her wedding, much to Tanya's dismay. Greg and Tanya married, and Tanya soon started an affair with Max. Greg later bought the beauty salon from Roxy Mitchell and later pushed Tanya to have another baby though Tanya was against the idea. Tanya allowed Rainie and Cora to move in. Tanya and Max planned to reveal their affair but Tanya found out that she may have cervical cancer. After discovering this, she broke up with Max, but he decided to tell the truth to his fiancé, Vanessa Gold who revealed all to Greg. Heartbroken, Greg left Walford and when Max realised Tanya didn’t want to be with him either, he left too. Tanya was diagnosed with cervical cancer and told ONLY Lauren and forbid her from telling anyone else. Greg briefly returned but couldn’t handle the news that Tanya had cancer and quickly left again. Tanya then decided to stop her therapy, although didn’t tell Lauren about this. Later, Tanya agreed to allow Cora to move back in, after she had been thrown out by Dot Branning. Tanya's doctor, Yusef, later confronted Tanya and asked why she had stopped her treatment. Tanya went to the hospital where she told her doctor that she wanted no more treatment as she didn’t have the strength to fight, despite the fact she could die.
Max returned to Walford with his brother, D**** Branning. Max insulted Tanya, and Tanya threw him out. As Tanya started to throw her mother and sister out, Lauren revealed that Tanya had cancer, and confronted her about stopping her therapy. Tanya then told Cora and Rainie the truth about how her father died—he didn’t die peacefully as they believed, but was in constant pain and so Tanya helped him to die. Max then reconciled with Tanya and they became a couple once more. Tanya encouraged her friend, Jane Beale, to interview for a job in Cardiff, but believed that Jane had turned it down. Tanya was pleased that her friend was staying, but when Jane revealed that she was actually leaving, Tanya was furious and said they were no longer friends. However, they reconciled just before Jane left. Tanya later learned that she had been given the all-clear from cancer, however she was worried that the disease might return. She also found it difficult to be close to Max, but after a frank discussion with Tanya over their marriage and above all sex life Max reassured Tanya that she was all that mattered to him. When D**** discovered that Tanya scared his daughter, MyAlice away, he threatened to kill her if she did it again. When Tanya discovered that cars at the car lot were being repossessed, she and Max argued, which led to passion and they had sex for the first time since Tanya's all-clear from cancer. In June 2012, Tanya announced that her divorce from Greg would soon be finalised, and she proposed to Max, which he reluctantly accepted, which angered Tanya, who thought Max didn't want to be committed to her again. However, Lauren told Tanya about how D**** stole from Lucifer and she confronted him about it. D**** in response taunted Tanya about what he and Max got up to in Manchester. During Janine and Michael's wedding, she confronted Max about it and then he told her that he got involved in criminal dealings causing someone to get hurt. He then accepted her proposal from earlier and they got engaged.
In July last year, Tanya discovered a birth certificate for a sister called Ava Anderton. She confronted Cora, who refused to talk about it, but eventually told Tanya that Ava died not long after her birth and it hurt so much she never told anyone, not even the father. Tanya then tells Cora that she can talk to her any time. When Ian Beale went missing, Tanya helped to bring him back to Walford, which made her decide she wanted Rainie at her wedding, but Cora lied to her that Rainie didn’t want to attend, when in fact Rainie didn’t want to see Cora. Patrick told Tanya the truth about Ava—that she is alive and Cora gave her up for adoption, so Tanya secretly tracked down Ava to her place of work, a school in Dalston. Tanya was shocked that Ava was black, and decided not to see her again. Tanya left her purse behind and Ava returned it, meeting Cora. Cora was shocked when Ava said her name, and was angry at Tanya, disowning her. Lauren was involved in a car crash and told Tanya that she was in love with her cousin, Joey. D**** blackmailed Tanya to keep Lauren and Joey's relationship secret from the rest of the family, and Joey was forced by D**** to end his relationship with Lauren. On Christmas Day, Tanya was stunned when Max's secret wife, Kirsty, arrived moments before she was due to re-marry Max. Max insisted he thought they were divorced (D**** had lied to him) and Tanya and Max continued their relationship, but when Tanya found Kirsty's keys in Max's pocket (given to Lauren by Kirsty), Tanya assumed Kirsty and Max were still involved. She then told Kirsty to sign divorce papers, but Kirsty refused. Lauren also discovered that Tanya hadn’t attended a hospital appointment, when Tanya said she was given the all-clear from cancer. Kirsty agreed to the divorce, realising she was hurting Max, and Max showed Tanya saying Kirsty was leaving. Tanya realised Max still loved Kirsty because he refused to have sex with her and was sad about Kirsty leaving. Max confirmed this, so Tanya ejected Max from the house saying their relationship was over for good, and she celebrated the breakup. She didn’t cope though, and was nearly drawn back to Max. She decided that to resist temptation she must leave Walford, and Max was deeply disappointed.
She returned a few weeks later to find Max, Kirsty, Abi and Lauren having a meal together and laughing. Lauren continued to drink but Tanya refused to believe she was addicted until she kept Lauren in the house and she revealed that she had been sipping vodka from a water bottle. Tanya locked Lauren in her bedroom but she escaped through Tanya’s bedroom window. Later, Lauren got drunk on a night out and left with a stranger; she didn’t return the next morning. Eventually, when she did come back, her skin and eyes were yellow and she collapsed in pain. She was taken to hospital where Tanya and Max were told she is an alcoholic, has alcoholic hepatitis, and one more drink could kill her. Tanya now plans to leave the Square in a desperate attempt to save her daughter’s life.

Dan stands in disbelief over the troll's body. He glances at the laptop and realises that all his friends are due to arrive in an hour. In a frantic distress, he drags the body to the nearby wardrobe, empties the contents and plops the body inside. He locks the room door and sets about cleaning the rest of the flat. With 30 minutes to spare he has a shower and runs to the Minute Mart to gets some nibbles.
All the guests arrive and the party gets underway but it isn't long before tempers are frayed. Zack avoids mona after the Shirl incident a few weeks ago but when the she asks DJ Fatz to play some Blue and Ant & Dec, Zack wants some Alexandra and it all kicks off! Vald has to separate them and mona goes back to the pub to help Shirley close up; “Yeah go stalk that stinky tranny!” Zack screams. Mona screams expletives back and slams the door.
Meanwhile, Joyof_pat orders more thai food when more guests arrive than expected, vald informs everyone what catsmeow has been getting up to, Angelic P introduces lola_skye to all the forumers, maurice tells IanMandy that sorcha has been off with him lately but he tells him that it's probably just that time of the month or maybe she's pregnant and vaslav makes a move on Scrabbler but he isn't interested! Vas grabs his fur coat in embarrassment and departs running into Abi who is munching on a family chicken bucket. He is even more disappointed when she hasn't got the French Curate's number.
Also tonight, nicnacs and priscilla exchange Moon bros crushes and nicnacs tells Whitney she wasn't invited when she comes in looking for Lauren. Sez_babe is left in charge of the Shirley Gutter and vows to help Michael get Scarlett back. Ava patrols the Square but doesn’t notice TK’s evil twin brother, NeX, who is hiding in the bin outside his house hoping to surprise him.
Blue_angel makes a dramatic return as head chef of the pub as Shirl attempts to win back punters lost to Beale the Squeal. But is she up to the task when she can't comprehend her first customer, Joey and has to chase Mo out of the kitchen, when she airs her itchy kipper at the freezer.
Later, TK & sorcha go to Mc Klunkeys because they fail to get any time alone at the party. He asks her to run away with him. Bevis helps dan clear up the mess. Dan breaks down and confides in him telling him he has killed the troll who was keeping him captive but will Bevis be willing to help him get rid of the body? Dullagj2 enters Mc Klunkeys and makes his way over to TK, handing him a note "I know about your dirty little secret, meet me at the War Memorial at 2pm tomorrow or your secret won't be secret for much longer!" Camera cues to a smirking dj leaving the chicken outlet..........DUFF DUFF
