Excellent turnout. Baxter not playing well, still got time to improve

7 perfect darts from Choccy, surprisingly I think that's as close to a 9 darter as we've come so far?

3-zip to the Thorn, playing really well. What a tough draw he's got though, potentially Chizzy then MVG.

Without wanting to reproduce lazy 9 a clock news stereotype, are there some players who would prefer a later start?

Why did he keep saying Chizzy or De Vreede:confused:

Thornton clinches the straight sets victory.

Ronnie was never in contention today; too wayward on the scoring and his doubling was little short of atrocious.

Incidentally, did anybody notice that Sky faded the crowd down every time they started up with "boring, boring tables"?

Think he would only have been the second player to hit two 9 darters in the Worlds alongside RVB?

Just looking at todays order of play, looks a real one sided day today!

Thorns game was a walkover, this ones looking a walkover, Wright will beat Ronny about 4-0 or 4-1. Then tonights MVG, Chizzy and Ando games I reckon their opponents will do well to win about 3 sets between them!

Jenkins looking well placed for a complete whitewash here

    And he gets it!

12 straight legs to beat Lawrence Ryder 4-0.

Hard to say Jenkins' performance didn't deserve it as well, that was impressive stuff.

Can't have been many 12-0's at this stage over the year I'd suggest. Only six darts at the double all match for Ryder too, thoroughly outclassed.

Agree I think the Anderson/klaasen game will be a bit closer but the others in the evening should be one sided.
The games this afternoon haven't been the best.

Although I can't see the link I'm guessing it's the same pic of Peter Wright that popped up on my twitter feed! :o

Looking forward to Lakeside, fewer mongs in the crowd. Slightly lower averages, due to the Blade 4's trebles being much smaller than the Eclipse Pro HD television board, but closer, better matches overall.
