Optical to Coaxial

I've got a new DVD Player and the surround sound link on the player is coaxial only and my surround sound system is optical only so I can't connect it..it here an adaptor that can convert the two?

any responses will be appreciated...:)

    Yes, you can buy adaptors both ways - they need to be powered though.

    Do a Google search for Coaxial to optical coverter and loads of choice from about £7

    Google is my friend, that's for sure.

    There are plenty on Fleabay with loads of stores flogging them. I got a dual adaptor a while back so I can get 2x optical (TOSLINK) leads into my amp which only has one Optical In socket. About a fiver that cost me plus another TOSLINK cable.
