Let's say something positive about the United States

Since the U.S. is being bashed all over the place, let's try and say something positive about it. I would say it's a playground like no other ;) with much to see, do and enjoy. Americans speak their minds, they do not hold back, they are who they are. Some of the entertainment they have given us, I really do like, several movies and the television series "Lost." GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.

Theirs plenty of variety over there, although it's United States as a whole, when you look at all the states that make it up there appear to be some big differences between them.

    And...The Bath and Body Works?

    Macey's?

    Juicy Couture?

    Barney's?

    5th Ave?

    Saks?

Ok I think we can tell what I went to the US to do:D

It has produced some good TV shows / Movies.

Isn't that bad - the only good thing I can say about a whole country is I like it's tv?

I think American's themselves say enough positive things about the USA without us having to add to it.

    Dave Grohl!

OK, I like their patriotism, sense of self, confidence, encouragement ... as a culture they do all this better than us.

Corn dogs are pretty vile and I'm agreeing that root beer tastes like medicine, but kiss my ass sounds so much better in an Americorn accent ;)

And Steven Tyler is gorgeous. Watch that Aerosmith, Pink video right now. :D

    Separation of Church and State.
    Saved our arses in WW2.
A great number of inventions and scientific research comes from the USA.
The lightbulb (OK, I know Davy 'invented' it, but it was pretty poor compaired to Edisons)
    Great entrepreneurial spirit.
Film, TV and music industry - yes some is duff, but some is fantastic.
    Theme parks.

From personal experience - though it was over ten years ago.....
    Wide open roads.
Some great beaches and fantastic weather in Florida.
    Everything seems very, very clean.
    Extremely friendly people.
    Good service.

I might not like the USA government. The country certainly has it's share of nutters (Westboro baptist). But on the whole, I like America.
