Tranferring text messages from Nokia 113 sim to phone?

My wife has some valuable text messages from a deceased friend which she is naturally desperate to keep.
She has a Nokia 113 on Orange and has been sent an EE card to insert so that reception will be improved.
Sheila from India didn't know how to do this. Has anyone got any idea how these precious sms messages can be saved by sending the messages from the old orange sim to the phone and then transferring them back to the new EE sim?
By the way, I used to be able do this years ago so am surprised that this cannot be done now. Before anyone asks, my missus hates Smart phones, so that is not an option.
Any ideas fellow DS members?
