    I'm going to give a shout out to the 1987 telepathy/telekinesis thriller/horror Cassandra - about half a dozen more genuine 'jump' moments than your average American fearfilm; and also the decidedly offbeat coming of age/horror-tinged curio 'Celia' also from 1987, which C4 showed once in the early 90s and never again.

    "Picnic at Hanging Rock" is one of the best films ever made, Australian or otherwise.

    "Walkabout" is an American produced film with an English director and star. A classic, though.
