Exactly when did BB 'jump the shark'?

In a few years time, when we look back nostalgically at the discontinued Big Brother series, which single incident will we decide was the one at which it 'jumped the shark'?

Evicted contestants allowed back in again?

Fight night?

Sending Jade back in again?

Golden Ticket?

Judging by tonights exellent highlights, I can still see the shark way off ahead in the distance.

I'm getting sick of seeing the "jump the shark" expression.

Assuming there is enough genetic material there to clone her in the first place...

Why is she on a "diet / exercise regime" again?

Don't think it would require too much genetic material to clone her.

But back ion topic, putting her into CBB was probably the biggest mistake so far.

Haha diet/exercise regime = thousands of dollars worth of lipo

Well they could always just make it Jade and a horde of Jadebots.

BB5 for me, although that was a good series,. The fact that the defining, sensational event in that series was such a "success" and that it was brought about by a twist, which admittedly at the time was quite clever, has meant that Endemol have deliberately tried to engineer controversy by fiddling with the format and engineering situations that will be conducive to that aim.

Any semblance of light and shade, or allowing things to develop organically in a way that might actually produce some genuine surprises or interesting stories, have been trampled in the rush for the next sensational outburst.

Putting housmates that we had paid (dammit) to evict back into the house was the start of the rot for me (even though JT wasn't allowed to win).

For me it would be Nikkis tantrums BB7 or the Golden Ticket fiasco, just confirmed how contrived BB and gimmicky BB can be, even thought aspects have always been like that for some reason since BB7 i've noticed it more so it hasnt been the same for me since.

    It's jumped loads of sharks.

Fortunately for Channel 4, shark jumping is our favourite sport.

I must agree, BB was heading for disaster after the last two series, which as well as that already mentioned above, included putting the 'winner by default' in on the first night (BB7) and putting Jackie in (CBB). Unfortunately, a 'Phat' series like this one only attracts people who are interested in listening to quiet comments from the likes of Leslie, and watching human behaviour unfold, which seems way over the heads of a lot of potential BB fans.

Big Brother has gang-raped, then gutted the shark, set fire to it and drove back and forth over its decaying corpse in a Landrover.

in fact I think television itself jumped the shark when BB began in 2000.

BB6. It either had no story or went horribly wrong - lots of individuals and groups having pointless rows and all the HM designed to be mad, bad , braindead, planning their escape, outrageous or Eugene.

BB7 had a story but it was ended after a month so we could watch nothing happening for 9 weeks and they had to bring the story back in week 12.

BB8 seems to be BB6 again. This time its more likeable people having trivial arguments about nothing. No sign of any story at all.
