The relationship between Connor and his mum is one of the best storylines in waterloo road history - truly interesting stuff, both actors are awesome, and it seems like such a complex relationship - with this especially, the michael past storyline and the boarding house stuff, this may very well be my fave series since the third or even second
Not great so far. As if a load of schoolboys would fawn over an old dog like her.... urgh. And I'm gay lol. The alcohol storyline is okay, but will drag to death.
Please,,,,can someone explain in just two sentences so I can understand...i know it's made in Scotland now..and it appears to have pupils from the old Waterloo Road...i know the new one is Waterloo Road....do they say its in Scotland now,and did all the older characters move and now 'board'?? Please explain..I was away for the start of series,

Yes lol, thanks. :P Anyhoo, Jane Beale just made me laugh calling Connor's girlfriend a "wide-eyed" whatever it was. I was just thinking she had alien like eyes lol. And also, we've now also discovered that she's deaf, fair enough. But please please PLEASE not another "I had to hide it from people for fear I wouldn't be accepted" storyline. That would be SO predictable and annoying.

This is exactly what's bugging me too! Seems terribly unrealistic that most of the teachers and pupils would uproot to Scotland just to attend the re-located school????

It's in the Glasgow area specifically, but the set-up is really weird, it's a school entirely paid for by one woman, and yes, some of the pupils from England have moved up and are boarding. The thing that is annoying me is that there is no such thing as 'year 12' in Scotland, and to hear Scottish people referring to it as such is grating. They should be saying 'Fifth year', or 'S5'. Also, teachers from England cannot just suddenly start teaching in Scotland. Also, free schools and academies aren't being created in Scotland. Really, this can only be a straight forward private school. But then again, this programme isn't known for sticking to reality.
And specifically this episode that is on now, I didn't realise that Imogen is deaf (like myself), but if you take your hearing aids out, you won't get silence. People with hearing aids tend to have some residual hearing that needs amplification to be any use (bit like getting glasses to focus short-sightedness).
Considering she had just shelled out to start a school miles from its original location, has brought most of the staff and pupils from that original location and funded it all because she is mega loaded, replacing a pipe is hardly going to break the bank...

Yess..so utterly implausable !! as IF all the parents would agree to their kids going to Scotland,,,not to mention the cost,,who foots the bill> ? thought Waterloo Road was a comprehensive.....

Totally agree with all you say about the scottish system. I've said this before on a post somewhere but I will say again...I know some private schools up here do a-levels but for scottish pupils who have transferred from state schools it seems ridiculous for them to suddenly be doing the english system as those of exam age would already be working through their standard grades or highers. Surely the few english students would be more likely to change to doing scottish qualifications.

I think the idea is that it's effectively an academy...
Oh God - and we are about to have a repeat of Jonah/Cesca...

I'm drowning in it.
Oh and Audrey is BRILLIANT
Well I'm not gay, so I can back you up
And sort of yes.

About sums up Waterloo Road
Yes, it appears Tom never attended the basic fire training sessions

Leaving the tap on in the yard would probably constitute a serious flood and an evacuation...
