This race is good, but knowing the layout of BBC TV Centre, they're cutting back and forth between different floors in completely different parts of the building, that don't connect to each other!

I guess it's for us "know nowts" who's never been inside or knew the layout.
Pretty average start to the season for me. Clarkson seemed to suggest last week that there are better episodes later in the series so perhaps he wasn't all that impressed himself.
I did however like the Television Centre bit. Would have loved for the freerunners to beat the other guy but still, it was enjoyable. As others, I would like a bit more humour.
They didn't "f up" - it recorded perfectly on my Sky and Freeview boxes.
Sometime people's equipment doesn't always work though.:)
My Virgin Media Tivo didn't change the recording times, so the Television Centre bit is chopped off the end.
You'd think, knowing that people would end up missing part of the show because the times had been changed, the BBC would rush to get it on the iPlayer quickly, but it's still not there.

Recorded just fine on mine as well but only AFTER they rectified their F up and changed the ending time which they should have done when they changed the start time.
But all irrelevant as what they should have done was to show the tennis on their Red Button HD stream that they set up just for Wimbledon.

Earlier in the week the EPG did not keep up with the moves between BBC1 and BBC2, I think there is also another piece of data that identifies the programme start and finish for PVRs which lagged behond.
But in the last few days they have managed to keep those correct, often the programme end time on the EPG was very wrong but that does not matter provided the signal to the PVR is correct.
Historically the BBC have followed technical specifications very closely (they have often defined the international specifications in EBU / CCIR / etc committees) but there have been problems in the past where manufacturers have cut corners and not followed the specification but of course some people blamed the BBC.
My PVR was set to record Top Gear and sat there with the red light flashing until the programme started. It then recorded the programme without missing anything.

Crap segment imo.
If we didn't get told by Jezza i think most people would say the Peak District.
The clips looked sensational.
The town looked like Grantown On Spey.
Correction.It was Pitlochry.
He usually does I think the 458 the f40 and f430 scuderia (sp) are the only ones he's seemed to like

The irony is that the Ferrari that Clarkson said he wished the
F12 was already exists: it's the FF.
My Humax messed up splendidly which is unusual - it normally catches late starts and ends.
My SKY+HD caught the amended times OK...
Sort of...
It started recording Top gear at the normal time of 8pm, but was still going strong at 9:15pm.
However, by doing so, it missed the start of Dexter !!
Luckily, I also have Dexter set for Fox+1, as with most "important" shows.
And the repeats next week...
I was also recording The White Queen, which it did OK.

Why, my PVR started at exactly the right time to record it?
