Properties are already valued for council tax purposes by the District Valuer Service, part of HMRC.
There's been talk of a national revaluation for council tax for a while, it would be a simple matter to use those figures. Then they could be uprated in line with house price inflation.
Yes I agree, however is that what the policy states will happen or is that just guessing how best to implement it?
