When I turned 18 my father was horrified that my vote counted the same as his.:D He forced my mother to go out and vote - she never bothered until then - just to cancel mine out.
What he didn't know is that he peed her off so much with this that she secretly voted the same way as me, opposite to him.;)
It was 30 years before she told him.:D
