I'm on holiday on a tropical island in the South Pacific but I have enought internet to watch the Aslan performance. It was brilliant! The Jeds seemed a little nervous (probably due to it being a serious, grown-up gig), but they did well. They brought their mature singing voices (like they do with Young Love) and worked really well with the rest of the band. It was a good song choice, and I get the feeling that John particularly *loves* the ability to do serious rock like that. Well done!
They were really good, I'm thilled for them. Nice to see the audience also supported them.
I agree with Secret Passage, they seemed to enjoy it but John looked delighted to be there. The Aslan guys were also lovely with the twins, it all went perfectly. I guess all the articles in the media will be focused in the whole concert and about how positive it was for Christy, but I wonder if we'll hear any surprised comment from journalists about the twins.
Awesome performance by the twins! It must have been strange for the twins to be performing to an audience outside their demographic but they pulled it off admirably!:D
Hi I'm back been seriously ill getting better slowly just abit overwhelmed by jedward stuff so much to catch up on! Are the tickets selling well for the tour ?
This is so excited I hope they're excited I'm excited.
Performing with a real live band - isn't that what we've wanted for them. Fingers crossed for a great song choice and performance.
What a shame we can't see it live but I'm hoping it finds it's way to YT.
Yes, God knows we've been going on and on about them and a live band. I'm so happy it finally happened. I hope they had an amazing time and that they liked the whole atmosphere of performing with a live band, so that they do it on their concerts
Yes, it sounds like the twins walked away from the show. I can't believe that RTE would think Una Healy is a better option to front the programme than Jedward. She's 31 years old and has no history of TV presenting, and certainly has no connection to kids TV.
i'm a bit baffled as to why they quit though. They're only 21 and hardly too old to be presenting children's TV programmes....most of RTE's regular kids' TV show's presenters are probably older than that.
Perhaps they want to step away from the reputation of being a child act. I'm sure they know the show is a good exposure, but I guess they want to focus on their music.
Well some Jedfans on my twitter timeline are Janoskian fans, hence had to block/mute all janoskiwhatsits! Worse than Keith Lemon crude "comedy" but at least Keith is meant to be a vile parody character.
I just want Aslan fans to judge them after the performance. If they don't like it, fair enough, but they should give them the chance, I don't want them to boo them or something, after all it's a benefit concert, they're there just to help.
And I also hope the twins get into their "cover mode" and focus on singing the song well instead of jumping around, it'd be lovely a bit of good press after the concert
You should be a fortune teller, it happened exactly like that
They were absolutely brilliant! I can't explain how much I loved that performance, especially cause I like that song and I was so excited to hear them sing it. The audience was great. They seemed a little nervous at the beginning, but it's understandable - they're singing with a band for the first time and it's not their audience, but they still won everyone over. And I'm so happy for all the great press they got! A couple of more performances like this will hopefully shut up everyone who claims they can't sing.
I'm so proud of them.
It's great to see them performing live with an established rock band and in a rock concert setting......they did themselves proud
Absolutely!
I think Aslan & Jedward should get their asses into a studio as soon as possible and release 'She's So Beautiful' as a single (could be part of the fund-raising). I reckon it would be an Irish #1 for them.

I would totally buy it, it'd be an excellent fund-raiser. Put the green cape on reached #5 in the Irish charts even though it was basically Lipstick
For anyone who missed this, here is the Jedward hour that took place yesterday on JOY949 im Australia, including an interview with Edward (in the last ten minutes) http://t.co/s2wUjaf3Zb …
It seems the video is unavailable on mobile devices, but there is also a podcast up on the radio station website

In this The Sun article, the twins appear as one of the most succesful "loser acts" of the talent shows: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/features/toplists/4967653/The-lucky-losers-Losers-of-TV-talent-shows-who-became-winners.html
Live stream for tonight looks as though Jedward will be on between 830 and 930 pm
Early YT
Thanks for that, I couldn't get the livestream to play, as my son had been downloading a massive ps3 update, which took hours.
Not overly keen on the song, but thought they did it well.

Articles mentioning the twins performance last night:
The prospect of twins Jedward singing an Aslan number had sent shivers down the spine of diehard 'Lan fans. But their spirited version of 2001 Aslan single She's So Beautiful won over all critics. http://www.herald.ie/entertainment/music/from-jedward-to-u2-stars-come-out-to-honour-christy-29364800.html
Judging by the screams, there were a lot of people looking forward to the next act. When the MC came on and said "And now for something completely different" the whole place screamed. Jedward came onto the stage and if I'm honest, surprised me as they nailed 'She's So Beautiful'. The biggest cheer of the night so far. http://illusionalmusic.blogspot.com.es/2013/06/a-night-for-christy-review.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed:+IllusionalMusicBlog+%28Illusional+Music+Blog%29

Well done, Jeds!
Thanks for all the links
I loved the performance and the song, but did anyone else think the verse lyrics didn't really match the chorus?
Hey, welcome back, glad you're feeling better!

What are Janoskians? *not informed again*

I hope they are able to arrange it
I really hope the twins see that and get in touch, I would love a studio version of it.
That's great! Hope it happens!
