With all the young brats in the village at the moment, Jacub, Noah, Sean, his wretched sister, the twins, Arthur and Gabby etc how can you see the village in 20 years time as i probably won't be around to witness it. Not only those in the village but those who will be forgotten now but will suddenly reappear when storylines are getting sparse, ie the mollies, archies jimmy's son, kyle, terry's lad etc. come on guys use your imagination here, this could be fun!

Home Farm is back in the hands of the Tate's as Joe Tate took it back in a shock bid at an auction. He lives there with Noah Tate who run Tate Leisure. Joe's fiancé, Chantelle also lives there. Joe's sister Jean now runs the vets after the retirement of Paddy. They still mention Auntie Zoe who it seems is living in New Zealand.

Victoria is now married to a local farmer (Not a Barton!) and has two kids. Matthew and Beth (Named after Betty who sadly passed away years ago). She is the village confident, and always has an open door for anyone int village with a problem.

The village shop is now a shop/deli and is now run by Jacob, as David left to go travelling. Jacob runs it along with his partner, Denzil Daggert, son of Danny who returned in 2016 to visit Pearl. Danny has a daughter too, Latoya who is a bit of a wild child, and has a son by a as yet unknown father.

The Dingles still roam the village, Samson is gamekeeper as his Father was before him. Belle has just married childhood sweetheart Will Wylde before leaving Wishing Well cottage for better things. Her cousin Moses Dingle returned in 2025 fresh from prison, but found village life has tamed him a little. He now runs uncle Cain's garage and car wash.

The sweet factory is long gone. The land was redeveloped by business mogul Sean Spencer. He built a block of swanky apartments and holiday lets. Demdyke Mill is where all the action is, Sean lives there in the penthouse overlooking t'village. His sister Amelia is now the local vicar, who introduced the church too gospel meetings despite initial protests.

Gabby now runs the café, which she re-vamped and renamed Gabrielle's. She married TJ Woods who murdered Bob Hope after a scam went wrong, and then set fire too the Barton's barn in revenge whilst Archie Sharma's wedding reception was going on killing Archie and his new wife Sarah Sugden. Gabby became tougher after his imprisonment but in later years got another friend in the form of class A drugs.

Brother Arthur washed his hands of his sister years ago after seeing her wasting her life. He now works at The Malt, owned by Casper Shuttlworth. His teenage brother, Joshua is wheelchair bound due too a disability from birth whilst sister Amber has her eyes on one thing...Arthur!

There would be a great Joe/Chantelle/Noah love Triangle storyline which will eventually divide the Village and lead to the death of Chantelle. Home Farm will have gone back too being a house of secrets and sexual chemisty..

I'd maybe also bring back Alice Bates, to visit Victoria for a month or so.

Betty's still going, though she's just a head in a bell-jar atop a cyborg body...

Kyle Winchester returns to the village for his mother's funeral and finds out he inherited the B&B. Jack Sugden buys Butler's farm from his step-grandmother Moira who decides to invest in Cain's garage. Debbie has become the owner of Emmerdale Haulage which she turns into one of the biggest courier/haulage companies in Britain. Sadly, Debbie cannot get over Sarah's passing and alienated herself from Jack.
