Saw the digital spy piece on the Steve Brookstein book. It's quite an incredible read. I notice that the written press have been having a pop at him on Twitter accusing him of being bitter when in fact if you read the book, all he does is point out where they lied and fabricated. One such example involves a journo reviewing a gig of his at The Bedford Arms. The journo was not at the gig but was told "there were certain things that had to go in the story".
That really is appalling.
However, the most staggering revelation is that on three occasions Max Clifford "buried" a story where Steve had spoken out about being abused as a teenager - Max Clifford who is now a convicted paedophile.
I don't know about you but I find that outrageous and the fact that the press are still covering this up.

He went from being a credible singer with a career, to being a laughing stock and it's just not fair. 10 years on, I'd like to see him gain some recognition as a singer/songwriter again.

Ten years now since his embarrassing creasing-up-laughing-while-singing performance Against All Odds after winning!? How cringey that was!
Oh for goodness sake. He was just overwhelmed by it all and very happy. Other winners have done very similar things. Alexandra Burke couldn't breath properly, Ben who has just won the latest X Factor was also bent over and laughing. Steve can't do any right can he.
