Just a throwaway line in Friday's episode, but Roxy said "i need a new boiler .. where am I going to get a grand to pay for that?"
£1000 for a new boiler? What planet are they living on - to install a new condensing boiler these days you need to fix a new flue, run a condense pipe, flush and clean the system, probably update the controls, and maybe update to fully pumped if it's a conventional gravity-fed system, or redo the pipework if it's a combi.
Complete installations for that sort of property will cost anywhere between £1700 and £3500, you certainly won't get it done for a grand unless you buy a knocked-off unit from Fat Elvis and get some illegal immigrant Albanian plumber to install it!
