Well, we now know that Cathy went along as a travelling companion only and Helen now knows that the 'team' need a bit of a kick up the bum and that she needs to overhaul some issues.
Fair play to her for not going down the finger pointing and the swearing route though, she did keep her dignity.
Is that the first time we'd had a bleep on 4iaB?
I don't understand why Veronica and Saida don't get that people wouldn't stay again even though they've said the place was very clean
I also don't get why they think it's OK to recommend that Paul installs double glazing and yet they're all about expenditure and profit
They underpaid everyone - well if you can call the payment to Helen a payment, I found it very snide indeed, very.
And seemed not to comprehend the economics of rates in Stratford upon Avon versus Torquay.
Aaagh my internet has gone on a go slow and now I'm all behind
Veronica is a total biatch. £6.20 is disgraceful but it what you would expect from someone with her character. She should not be in the hospitality industry.
I doubt if she will be for much longer after this weeks performance.
:D:Dbhe does go for quality bangers so be sure and make it meaty and packing a punch!
Stop it! I've already had two wines and my imagination is working over time. I'm worried I'll stop talking in euphemisms and blurt out something inappropriate!

Sorry I'll refrain from this filth I'm off for a bath!:):)

Tsk...you kids
The key is to pace yourselves...:D
Thought this week was ok but not great. Apart from Kate and Ben's places, none of the others really appealed to me.
I do love seeing the upper end places (I know, I know, its not fair pitching them against the lower end places) but I like to see what's out there and dream that one day I might actually visit there!
So many posts on the same topic, and here's another one.:)
I felt a bit sorry for Helen's daughter, being outed as a bedwetter on national television. I hope she's old enough not to care too much about the revelation.
Veronica chose to drop her bombshell at a highly inappropriate moment. As the lovely Ben pointed out, this left Helen with no opportunity of offering alternative sleeping arrangements. It was also an unnecessarily public announcement.
I do, however, think there's a risk of conflating two connected but separate issues, namely V & S's behaviour, and The Mattress Incident. The former does not excuse the latter. Helen readily admitted the mattress was stained with "kid's wee". It baffles me that she would ever consider her daughter's urine stained mattress to be suitable for guests. All sorts of substances may eventually find their way onto B&B mattresses, but one would hope that they start out in a reasonably pristine state.
Despite Saida's quietness, she certainly manages to get her viewpoint put across via Veronica. I wonder if Veronica would be quite so full on were she not to feel it necessary to defend Saida constantly. Methinks Said is quite capable of speaking on her own behalf when she wishes - e.g. at dinner, when stating she had cooked everything herself.
Just as well it's over today. Otherwise we might all get wee-ary:o
Brilliant post. Says it all really (and/or wee-arly).
Well done to Ben & Katie, their place was lovely and I did like how Ben stuck up for Helen the previous night.
I'm annoyed though that V&S were still allowed to fill in the feedback form and make a payment. A B&B is a Bed and Breakfast is it not? So they didn't stay in the bed nor have breakfast there, how can they judge it? It just stinks of gameplaying by the producers to make sure the Tair'bull couldn't win (although B&K winning was the correct result). What they should have done was not allow V&S to do the feedback or the payment and they just calculate the percentage from the other 2 payments.
I quite like the idea of having it be 4 similar establishments each week - it's more in line with what the aim of the programme is, deciding which one is the best value for money.

I agree. It would cut down on the game playing and actually be the show that its supposed to be.
If they had 4 low budget B&B's competing against each other, then each couple would be reading from the same page so to speak. Again, with the upper end establishments, they would all be looking at similar properties to their own.

I didn't like it either it was a cloche type from the 1920s. Talking of which we come to Veronica's blouse......
LOL
Totally off topic.....its 5.30 and still light outside!
And yet she recommended Paul get good double glazing. So it's okay to suggest the others spend money;)

Kind of you been on the drink already?
I think its the first FIAB Bleep we've had, plus I think its the biggest underpayment isnt it?
I doubt if she will be for much longer after this weeks performance.
Yes, its all white fluffy clouds and sparkling sunlight here in That London

I think I will use that remark sometime soon.
bit odd, rubbish timing
Indeed, I was half expecting a blood bath seeing as they were put in a red room
Yet more owners ruining a free advertising opportunity...
It's getting early later now
