To those moaning about Patrick, this is from when they announced the storyline - "We hope that Patrick's experiences will raise awareness amongst viewers particularly of the symptoms of a mini-stroke, which include facial weakness, arm weakness and speech problems, and last for a short period of time. It's a warning sign that a stroke could be on the way, yet thousands of people dismiss a mini-stroke as 'just a funny turn'."

The stroke hasn't actually happened yet.
Hopefully people will actually take notice of this instead of saying he's rubbish or the story is rubbish. Thanks for the info.
Anyone know what the "something special from EastEnders at half time" will be that the announcer mentioned when speaking about the football game next on bbc1?

A silly football trailer between Shirley and Sharon.

A brain scan showed that my dear mum had at least 5 mini strokes, one of which she knew about. That scan was 3 years ago - she is now 93 and thankfully still hasn't had the "big one", although we do believe she has had at least two more mini ones.
I think it is a good storyline to bring awareness of mini strokes or TIAs.
Patrick and Shirley. Interesting to find out about Dean/Shirley before she left, do we find out why she did leave?
George is sweet, he should come into it full time, he brings out the best in Shirley.
Spice Girls! Oh that brings back memories.
Linda Carter - Wonder woman - Lynda Carter...I have only just made this connection. Shame on me.
Billy working at the undertakers? Comedy gold waiting there.
The script tonight was excellent, as was last nights, brilliant.

Out of curiosity, I'm assuming once you've had a mini stroke there's nothing you can actually do except for wait for the big stroke.. As in a doctor wouldn't be able to do anything about it?

Dean's the youngest

She's only 37, plenty of women become mothers at hat age.
Yep Lynda Carter was Wonder Woman in the TV series.

Exactly! People are too quick to be negative.

The Carters are such a watchable family.
Patrick is such a sweetie.
Looking forward to seeing Billy in his new job.:D
Little George is sooo cute.
Poor Paddy, he needs to tell someone.
Another good episode.
Yawn! Thank you though
The Carters are great. What makes it work is that the actors all seem to get on so well, at ease all the time making it even more real.
Thanks had an idea it was
Exactly. Best family on the show by far. Huge success.
Having to face a parent right after, tho, poor guys!
Nooo, Linda's trying to prolong her mothering phrase! Don't do it Mick...
