I completely forgot about these shows. Going to go search for some!

I think it may have been a maths programme. Where they had the king and queen of clubs, hearts. And they had 2 statues outside the castle by the door that would pop up every noe and again??? It has been bugging me that I cannot remember.

It was quite good wasn't it? Maths wasn't one of my favourite subjects but for some reason I loved that show and also El Nombre.

If I am off work, I would much rather watch schools programmes like It's Maths, How We Used To Live and Scene than mind rot for chavs like Jeremy Kyle.

Having the TV wheeled in and the TV would always seem to be in a big cabinet with doors.

Most schools always used to have clapped out old wooden sets, usually British made.

Ours, in the early 2000s had a fleet of 22 clapped out old early 1970s DeccaColour sets with a wooden "hood" over the front panel of the set :D

Our school (secondary) had a really old 80s or 90s TV (can't remember the brand) on a large cabinet. Was mostly used for DVDs and videos though rather than schools programmes.

Don't know that show but I was born in 1990 (just saw it's from the 80s) so maybe it wasn't shown in the 90s?

Bart isn't a show per se, it's one of the pieces of music they played in the gaps between shows to keep the kids amused. They usually went for funky radiophonic workshop pieces, but in this case they used some progressive rock! :D

I remember in the early-to-mid 90's BBC2 used to show some of the old schools stuff in blocks overnight.
I remember because I suffered from insomnia during this time, and often used to stay awake watching episode after episode of whatever it was.
The one I remember the most was a re-enactment of Samuel Pepys diary, starring someone who I knew but couldn't place at all. It drove me mad all night as I watched episode after episode, trying to fathom out where I knew him from.
His face didn't ring any bells, which was the most annoying part.

Then, finally starting to fall asleep, I closed my eyes and carried on listening to his voice. Then it hit me. It was the voice of Mr. Benn! :D

Lucky you! The TV sets we had only had aerial sockets so could only be connected to a DVD player via a VCR.

@ Radio Lion: Some great videos there. I'd never seen any of those shows, what era were they from?
