Sainsbury's and Tescos sell a clothing repair tape and it's also black. I've used it several times myself.

The only thing is, you need an iron to heat it up to apply it.

Just a quick update because i know you will be all worrying about my pants.

I made it home and the staples held until i was getting out of my car, i heard an almighty ripping sound like the sky had been tore asunder. At the same moment i felt a deep chill on my backside and knew my pants were no more.

They served me well those pants.

I would just like to thank you fellow dsers who got me home safely. I will never forget.

Happened to me a few years ago whilst in work. I discreetly swiped a stapler and retired to the bog, taking off said trousers and done a makeshift repair. I had to get the bus home so you can imagine the tension I felt going to, on and off the bus!! They held.
