Warren Haughton has been reporting on the Leaders in Sport conference at Stamford Bridge.
Good to hear that Radio 5 Live Sports Extra decided late in the day to simulcast the respective BBC WM and Radio Wales commentaries on the England Under-21s and Wales games. I still think the latter match should have been on the main 5 Live station, but their decision to prioritise Wales ahead of a rank-and-file Premiership rugby union game was a sensible move and better than having no UK-wide radio commentary at all.
I agree with the difference and think that the Wales game should have been on 5Live, meaning 5LSX could have covered the rugby with everyone being happy. I can't believe there would have been many listeners to 5Live who would prefer to listen to the usual discussion show over live football.
Today, 5Live have prioritised the Rugby League on the main station with Scotland's game on 5LSX. some may argue about that (not me though) but at least coverage of live sport is the reason for the football not being on the main station.

Today FM had Philip Egan reporting from the Aviva Stadium on the Republic of Ireland v Gibraltar qualifier during Ross Lindsay's evening sports bulletins.
To correct a small detail from my earlier post on talkSPORT's Saturday coverage, Steve Lomas was only on the Matchday Live panel between 2-5pm meaning Ray Parlour was the only pundit with Ian Danter during the final hour of that show. For the record, talkSPORT didn't have a reporter covering the rugby league Super League Grand Final.
Richard Gordon and Dougie Vipond presenting Sportsound from, respectively, Ibrox and Murrayfield, with Tom English and Chick.
Oops, typo there - Chick Young was originally with Richard Gordon at Pacific Quay before both moved to Ibrox during the Rugby. But by all intents and purposes, the programme was presented from Ibrox (and Murrayfield).
I'm not sure he'll be welcomed back to Fratton Park with open arms given what happened on Twitter yesterday when he complained on a number of occasions that there wasn't any free food in the press box. Suggestions by many people he buy his own were, apparently, "disrepectful"
