I'm sure his accent is exagerrated...but its all part of the fun! Its a light hearted show and does what it says on the tin!

Although I like cookery shows I avoided this mainly because of the bad reviews. Then a week or two ago I happen to catch it and really enjoyed it. Gino and Mel work very well together.Mel is probably better in this than anything else I have seen her in and Gino is very amusing and surprisingly good with the audience. Good lunchtime TV imo and it's a pity Loose Women has to return. I hope this gets another run sometime soon, possibly in the 3 o'clock slot.

Not that great last time I saw them cited in the Ratings Thread (best place to ask would be there).

Pity as it deserves another run as a break from Loose Women.

PS: Have asked on that thread. If the ratings are posted will let you know.

    Quick reply thanks to rzt.

Ratings have stabilised around 900,000 in the past two weeks.

That is similar to what Loose Women was getting in July.

So it has not been a huge hit but not a disaster either.

Might get another run when Loose Women is off air or we might see Let's do Tea With Gino and Mel....:)

For a midday show 900,000 sounds quite good to me. It's more than Daybreak isn't it?

    I love this show.

Some daytime TV is a guilty pleasure of mine (Diagnosis Murder, Dickinsons Real Deal, Home Under the Hammer etc) but I LOVE this show.

Good presenters, good format and makes me laugh every time.

    Has the run finished now?

Considering it was filler for dinner times in the middle of summer I don't think they were expecting tremendous ratings. I love Mel and even Gino grew on me during this show. I'd love to see it return in the future.:D

What were Loose Women's ratings like before the break?

I can see this season of Loose Women being the last. Then maybe we could see Let's do Lunch replacing it full time maybe with a news discussion at the start?

I think the format has legs but needs a rotating line-up of presenters and chefs. I think for the four weeks it's been on just having the two of them has been enough but if it was to be on nearly every week of the year it would need a variety.

Don't want to go into Fantasy schedule but...

Monday to Wednesday: Gino and Andrea McLean
Thursday to Friday: Gino and Mel

First 15 minutes news discussion with the current Loose Women panelists

Nah. I don't think any of the current Loose Women lot should transfer. Carol Vorderman could do it. Ruth Langsford too. Melinda Messenger maybe. I would personally choose Sonya Saul hehe. There are a lot of chefs who could/would do it too. There aren't many male presenters I can think who would fit the format - maybe Gethin Jones??!
