  He was Patricia's dad actually. Could easily be mistaken for Susannah's though, it was a bit of a strange set up.

  It was always.a odd set up that would if been posh characters on the close anyway. Then u had the corkhills who were the opposite

  Brookside shouldn't have been axed, it was miles better than soaps like Holyoakes and Family Affairs. It lost viewers because they kept mucking with the times. Perhaps the storylines were getting a little silly towards the end, but it was definitely in a state where it could be saved.
