Daily Mail is the best website for celebrity news... Who agrees?

Maybe it is because I am a proud right-winga :D but the Daily Mail really is the best website for celebrity news. It's always the quickest to load, has great pictures, is regularly updated, and covers lots of different angles.

Does anyone else agree, or use it regularly?

The Daily Mail is one of the worst publications this country has.

Really? Worse than the Star, Sun, commie patronising Guardian etc.

I was talking about the website too.

Agree .......the website is a very attractive looking guilty pleasure....full of unimportant celebrity stories and pictures presented in an easy to access style.
Needless to say lots of s**t-stirring hypocritical rubbish aswell that assumes that readers are unthinking idiots but definitely worth a look everyday if you apply your common sense to what you're looking at.

My guilty pleasure is that I do regularly browse their site, but never for their quality or accurate reporting of "news".

They're well known for fabricating stories, making up witnesses to alleged events ..... I think I primarily go there for the comments, which are often quite hilarious.

I will never, ever, believe anything that they write.

I wouldn't read anything on that hate-peddling website. Plus they were recently proven to completely make up news stories.

    "One of" the worst.

The website is also bad, full of crap just like the paper. Their stories are inaccurate much of the time, and most of the stories I just don't care about anyway.

Agreed. It panders to the worst characteristics and emotions in it's mainly female readership. I'm sure most of the content, celebrity or not, is invented, spun or misreported.

I always go to the Mail website when there's a big story going on - if only for the comments section.

There are some top nutters posting on there! :D

The DM website is my guilty pleasure... Love reading all the femail & celeb photos and gossip, along with the hilarious comments at the bottom of articles

Don't bother with the news on it though - I just get me celeb fix :D

Don't forget the tax avoidance of the Grauniad as well! And their millionaire socialist writers writing columns from their villas abroad calling on the rest of us to be taxed more.

I hate the Mail's war on the BBC, there were more complaints about blagging by the Mirror and Mail group than the whole of News International but they seem to have escaped investigation so far. But their website is well presented though the celebrity side is dominated by Americans who I often never heard of. They will one day praise how good someone looks then next day say criticise them. They keep repeating the same phrases - anyone in a short skirt "leaves nothing to the imagination" etc.

It is one of the best among newspapers for collating celebrity news, I agree.

Their editorial line and comments sometimes leave me rolling my eyes, as do some of the more popular narratives -She's too fat! Now she's lost weight! Her relationship has broken up as she gets a hot younger man as a result of losing weight!- All from three sets of photographs. :D

I don't know if it's worse, but the Sun and Star don't masquerade as serious newspapers.

    So the argument goes.

I get the feeling that The Sun might be being more carefully now after all the hacking scandals though as I wrote there were far more complaints about the Mirror and Mail groups than News International. The Mirror can be a much worse paper than the other tabloids and got involved in an attempt at a really nasty smear by the previous Labour regime. But they don't get as many attacks on them from the Left wing press as News International does.

Let me take you back to 2004 when every paper in the land reported Christopher Eccleston to be the new Doctor Who. That is all..................except The Daily Mail! Hardly the best website for celeb news and the rest of their journalists are not up to scratch either. Plenty of them still refer to Diabetes as a disease. That was this year! Anyone who has Diabetes know full well that it is not a disease, but a condition that may be caused by a disease or something else. Can't even get their basic medical facts right. So I don't think The Daily Mail are particularly reliable. Richard Littlejohn can get stuffed!

It's also very anti- women. We are all either too old, too young, too fat, too thin, wear too much make up, don't wear enough make up etc etc.

Yes it's an easy site to use, but some of the articles are really badly written with poor grammar and spelling mistakes as well.

The problem with the Daily Fail is they go overboard with there stories there so wrongs most of the time its like the person who writes for them as just heard a rumour and ran with it and just made it up as they type it plus every "journalist" i use that word loosely are all old misserable sods who cant bear to see anyone happy or succesful!

If you think that pictures of nylon haired racist 'stunna' Danielle Lloyd in a bikini, Imogen Thomas leaving yoga practice, Uma Thurman's hairy toes or 'curvy' Britney's rolls of tum fat constitute celebrity news then yes, I suppose they are the best.

    Agreed.

Our family has always read the Mail, even though I admit that they have got celeb gossip wrong on MANY occasions. Personally though, the most reliable place for your celebrity and showbiz gossip is DS...

Yes, I do agree, althought I hate the paper and their opinions, I kinda block thsoe out. For general reporting of actual news though, they seem to be the best

I've only bought the Daily Mail paper once (I wanted the free David Bowie cd) but I do check their website. Out of all of them it is the easiest to read.

Seems to be written by a bunch of females who are extremely bitchy about females....so Dan Wootton should feel at home.
