    That's surprisingly good casting, a little better looking but still similar to the last Ben, now we just need to know if he can act or not. I say surprisingly but actually casting under DTC has been excellent, so really it's just continuing his good run.

    Is Harry Reid too old to play Ben? He's 22 whereas Ben is only 18.

    The photo of Ben and Phil outside the Arches - it oozes potential drama! Love it!

    I agree, I think the actor looks great as Ben.

    He looks just right. The actor is 22 and seems to have plenty of experience. I'm thrilled that he's back.

    Not really, if it was a 30 year then perhaps but plenty of actors play younger or even older then they are.

    That's a good likeness, so far so good.

    His face is a bit more mature, less baby-faced, so if he has any dark storylines they should work better from that angle.

    Good luck to the lad, hope it works out for him :)

    He looks the part much more in the promo pics and certainly has a prescience about him. I wasn't impressed with the pictures on casting call.

    It's not like Audrey, Gail and nick in corrie. It's good that Ben has aged, his character needed to mature a bit.

    He's cute, he can act apparently and looks similar to Phil and Joshua Pascoe (the previous actor). I'm actually pretty excited about this now. Bring the action!

    James Forde is 18 and plays a 15 year old
    Ben Hardy is 23 I believe and plays a 20 year old.

    Whitney and Lola have similar gaps I believe. No problem at all.

    The only one I would say that is too old for the role is Aine Garvey as Lily Branning. She's 6 and when she was introduced, Lily was 3. She definitely looks older than Lily and I think the difference is made even more noticeable by the scenes Lily's shared with Tommy, who is only six months younger than her.

    The actress who played Afia Khan was like 28 playing a character who was 17/18 so as long as he does a good job I don't think age is that much of an issue.

    I don't think he looks like Ben though. Each recast seems too different. The best recast they've done recently is Lauren.

    Danielle Harold is like 5-6 years older than her character.
