Thanks to a speeding cabbie, Agatha has arrived home at a reasonable hour and is sitting in the "drawing room" composing tonight's Coronation Street episode discussion thread. I hope you're ready for tonight's deathless drama........
17th December 1980 (starts with epic Stan/Hilda scene)

17th December 1986

The Midweek Episode Ratings Poll will also appear around 8pm (or earlier if the stroganoff boils dry). Last Wednesday's episode, where Kylie's past caught up with her, was not well liked, scoring just 3.75 out of 10 on mean average.
Ciao!
You can tell it's Christmas, because everyone's bloody miserable and Weatherfield is no exception........ look at David Platt for instance, in turmoil over Kylie, and where she was last night, who she was with, et cetera ad nauseum........ of course, Kylie tries to be clever and talk her way out of it, but she can't quite do it because she really does value her marriage to The Platt Creature, and all this deceit is having a dreadful effect on her........ later that day, David has his eye on the best Xmas tree in the corner shop, but Our Tirrone buys it before he gets a chance this actually results in them fighting in the street like a couple of "hoods"!.........
However, they're not alone, warring on the cobbles, look - there's Phelan'Good Anna and Bully Beef Owen  and they're giving Ginger Ninja Gary "what for" about him and poor Alya's burgeoning relationship........ and as the Nazirs finish moving all their cheap furniture into Number 6, Alya decides to end it with Ginge of course, Kal and that awful Yasmeen are delighted >:( but poor Gary is heartbroken.........
Tracey Barlow's in the sh!te again woohoo! She's had a message from Drunk Peter down in That Portsmouth, saying that if she doesn't pay the rent on the shop he's going to put it up for sale....... yet again though, Lady Luck pays her a visit as Boss-Eyed Tony overhears the whole thing, and offers some more of his dodgy stock for her to sell to make a quick buck - however, that's not all he wants - he offers to pay her rent off for a 50 per cent cut of her takings......
Also tonight - "Erica" (Kim Tate really) returns to the Bistro and sweeps Naughty Nick off his feet for a night of unbridled passion ........... and Les Dennis's tiresome-but-quite-bonkable "son" is still prowling about, but his luck almost runs out tonight before he makes a desperate phone call to save his bacon >:( ............

Can I have a dollar, please? ;-):D
Hi all!
Hello there Cobbleheads ;-)
Howdy, folks *waves*
Just ordered a Chinese which should be here by half past.
Catch you then.
Cheers for the thread and episode summary, aggie.:D
Thought I was going to have to ask who sang it. Thankyou
Hi everyone
Thankyou for the thread Aggie
:D:D fab spoilers Aggie
You are both more than welcome.
Dollar are/were much-maligned in the 1980s, but I have no time for their critics. They were pop music as it should be - dazzlingly blonde and cute.
That's a great song. Might have to get it off itunes now
I'm looking for a daddy named agatha?
Have I come to the right place?
Fanks four de fred...
Thanks for the thread, Aggers.
Something like that my love! I'm going to give Corrie a serious try tonight ... wish me luck.
How've you been? xx
Thanks for the thread
Mmm Hot Gary, i'll give you a job
Well the sight of Katy has just perked me up.
Who's moving into No.6?
