It sounds like it will rival Reality TV or Quest or some of the Discovery channels. Bit too much lifestyle so it's a disappointment.
TruTV is like CBS Reality, but maybe even more downmarket. Lots of "shocking moments caught on camera" shows.
On the US channel this week, programmes include:
World's Dumbest Performers
Most Shocking: Escapes From Death
Top 20 Funniest: How Did That Happen?!?
Dumb-ass DareDevils
And CNN.
Heavens, what a horrible line up! I'll stick to the BBC.
We don't know yet, and based on past performance we won't until shortly before launch
Repeat that in English please?
I will stick with Netflix, i keep looking to see if there is anything that will get me to watch normal TV and still nothing,
Read it again, it made perfect sense.
There's an awful TV show called "Lizard Lick Towing", which is already broadcast on Dave, which Tru TV happens to show in the United States, plasticstoat assumes the UK variant will also show that programme and is therefore happy.
Come on now, there is a lot to watch on TV.
What is a typical nights viewing via Netflix for you?
They are planning on commissioning new UK programmes, sadly though they are likely to be of the "unscripted" type.
yeah if you like soaps, reality stuff, I am going to by this mansion and going to tell everyone about it type shows and let not forget the shows Which make Cowell loads of money.
I don't have typical night viewing, some nights i don't turn the TV on at all. but some of the things I am watching are Fringe, Numb3rs, person of Interest, Covert Affairs, Warehouse 13.
I know some people may have seen them, I think Numb3rs was on one of the channels a while back, but i have never seen tham.
My main problem with Netflix is that it is a bit naff on documentaries, a bit better if you go to the U.S site, by the way those that I have listed is on the UK site. the reason why I kept Lovefilm was because of the documentaries, but now i got rid of that I am going to have a look CEX and see what they have got if they are cheap enough.
Love it or hate it, it's very a very popular programme!
Anyone need this post translating?
Ha maybe a translator wouldn't be such a bad idea
Today - launching in August.
Hope you don't mind me asking but where did you find the information i been looking around the web and can't find a thing about it.
Now the next question is where the space coming from?
I think Local TV.
You didn't look very hard - it's in the article on the front page of DS!
Maybe the space being temporarily used by RB 302?
In fact the cable.co.uk article states "early August", which fits in with Chrisy's theory.
I have tuned in but there is no picture, nor EPG information.
