Yeah I agree... Weird BB didn't do background checks though.
didn't they get all the housemates from various talent agencies this year though, rather than open auditions? probably relied on the agents to have checked them out.

Another forumite said his/her friend got through to the last round of auditions and Sallie was the only person who's now a housemate there. Also, i think Varasque said that Wolfie was recruited by the BB team finding housemates in clubs, etc..
It depends on what you mean by new money. The way she tells her story, she gets an allowance from her mum, which implies her mum got a hefty divorce settlement (she never mentions her mum as being independently wealthy of her dad). Her parents divorced when she was 14 or so.
I agree about the convo with Wolfy, for Wolfy perhaps £80 is a lot of money, but £300-£400 would be sod all to Gina. Also why would she even bother finding out what basic rooms/ jnr suites and plush suites cost? She wasn't going to pay.
I mean say I asked you about a hotel you've been too, do you know the different prices off the top of your head, or just the price of the room you used?

do we know if that is what it costs? Guess you need to know if its a act
If the Daily Mail had done an exposé claiming that Gina was an escort then, yes, they would probably have to have done their research in order not to be sued. But this is a flattering puff piece that makes Gina out to be the glamorous little rich girl, so everybody goes away happy. Even if it's not true, it makes no difference to the Mail.
definitely a fake then. it sais she's from chingford just like that comment on the blog from her supposed brother.
what's chingford like? is it where multi millionairresses live?
Its like any London borough, some good some bad parts. There are £1 million + houses there but it probably wouldn't be the first choice of the seriously loaded.
It's funny there are not a lot of people queuing up to sell their stories on her. Every year someone has something to say about housemates, but not really seen anything so far.
The YouTube videos are all looking staged to make her fit the back story. Her blog looks staged too, and add to that she is doing BB.. mmm, Why would you?
There is someone who has claimed to be her brother posting comments on a few sites making claims that its all a fake job.

I think her manager/agent and Gina, herself, staged this for publicity and exposure. It doesn't add up though. Does her boyfriend know? Why hasn't anyone spoken up if she's faking? Where are her parents? Why didn't she attend a private school if she's so rich?
Or the ones that really dont care as long as she entertains.
People that have invested their support in a HM are often reluctant to change even when it becomes clear that they don't really know who they're supporting anymore, and when all the reasons they originally gave for supporting them become redundant.
To take one example, she got a lot of support when supposedly feeling sympathy and wonderment at wolfy livin g on a budget. There was even risible talk of her going on a 'journey', the rich woman learning how the other half lives and growing from it. What if it turns out that she was never this rich woman in the first instance?

All of it is just strange
That's one of the strangest parts. In the scheme of things, a housemate with a fictional life story won't make any difference to our lives, but, as viewers, it's surreal to think of us watching a man being interviewed about someone that doesn't exist and having to opine on how she's grown as a person ("She washed a glass.").

I am sure that is true to some extent, I for one used to care a lot about my chosen housemates and believed in them regardless....a connection with them was vital for me. These days I really dont care,I cant say that I actually like any of them and was very disappointed on launch night with the selection, these days I watch it with an entirely different viewpoint as the original agenda of the programme has long gone.

From what I could see, you can get a room for around £330 during "off peak" months like Jan, but that's with a discount for adv booking.
Funnily I've stayed in a couple of plush suites, and still have no idea what they cost, I got lucky and upgraded at no extra cost.
I think it's like you always fly business class, why would you know the price of an economy seat?
Ergh I'm gonna have so much egg on my face if she really is rolling in dough.
lol, I really don't think it is I think we have sussed it!

Im not doubting her wealth though.
Wasting your time to find out such detailed information...about a Big Brother contestant?
Digging up Bebo accounts from 5 years ago? Searching all over the web to find out the most information about her?
Really?
it's all part of the fun of watching the show to me. Also i am reasonably capable of doing more than one thing at a time.
