I didnt either to be honest as usually they only do them for big storylines but I thought the ad was absolutely fab. The filming and camera effects were really amazing
I think it is just to raise the orofile of both shows. No different to the 'isn't the BBC wonderful' promos they do showing clips from sporting events, wildlife docs or drama and comedy (like the "bring Me Sunshine" promo they played constantly a couple of years ago) for no discernable reason.
I really like the promo (and the similar one they did last year reading Shakespear) but can anybody tell me which fairytale Leanne and Alya are supposed to be from?

Liz looks dreadful in it - that dress does nothing for her. Something with sleeves worn over industrial strength Spanx might have been better.
The ad's very easy on the eye, but seems totally meaningless to me. I agree with the poster who said (something like) they would be better applying these high production values to the show itself.

The theme was fab aswell
Gush over now
Neither can I when the production values on the whole of Corrie are so low, yet they can waste time and money on this pretentious crap. *rolleyes*
:D:D
Totally blunt!
The Emmerdale ones were better than the corrie ones
That's me! Nice ads, shame about the prog!:D
Aside from Peter and Deirdre, Carla, rob etc Corrie is really bad at the moment IMO. Emmerdale is great though
She's just stunning. Her cheekbones are fab, very Angelina Jolie
Moira looked great too
Marlon and Laurel looked like Punch and Judy
And I think that's slightly insulting Punch and Judy...:D

Pity ITV have to subject us to ads before showing us their own ad though.
I've been wondering about that too.
I thought that the image of Tracey reflected how similar Tony is to her. I'm probably wrong but that's what I got from it
Totally agree Sorcha, it's a cracking advert and I adore Moira's purple make-up, really makes her eyes pop!

Rapunzel
Of course. Thanks x

Hannah Peel
aww thank you
Hmm be interesting if this does happen, as they seem to be having scenes together recently
