Why would you ask your landlord about Internet??

    Sensible things to ask:

    - Is it gas, electric or both? Who is the current provider?
    - What council tax band is it?
    - How long do you wish to let the property out for? Will usually be 6 months or 12. Can it be increased at the end of the term?
    - What comes with the property? Is it furnished or is it white goods only?
    - Are pets allowed?
    - Is the property in a cabled area? Useful to know

Those are the ones I could think of. Internet is for yourself to sort, and is dependent on there being a phone line in the property. If not, you may have to get a line installed, however if an old tenant has had a BT line prevously, this wont be an issue.

    How much is the bond?
    What's the rent
Is it paid weekly or fornightly or monthly and does he want it in cash or by cheque or direct debit?
Are you responsible for the garden, if there is one?
    When's bin day?

Ask about the neighbours and the neighbourhood. You don't want to be moving into an episode of "Neighbours from Hell".

Before you leave, what do you need to do in order to get your bond back. - my one got me to clear out the cupboard under the stairs

Will you get advanced notice if he wants to see the property - another one thougth it OK to simply enter whenever he wanted.

Can you have guests stay over.

Water boiler or central heating - current place I pay seperately for central heating and permanently on hot water - which is akin to having my water boiler turned on 24/7 - which is a right fkn waste of money.
