As the clock strikes midnight and everyone calls / sends their happy new year text messages I just wondered if people on the forum could report how their phone performed...
Please post network, phone and location to see if we can find which network was most reliable at midnight and worked!

Do the networks actually clog up anymore?
I'm in South Wales, by the way. I live about four miles north of Caerphilly, which is about six miles outside Cardiff.
All things clear here. I'll keep everyone updated in case of any sudden changes.
I sent a text to a user on O2 and it hasn't gone thro... oh no wait there it goes.
False alarm people.
oh stfu miserable sod
happy new years fellow mobile geeks
Not really complaining, there's absolutely no point designing the network to deal with the load for a couple of hours per year.
I assume it's something further upstream that's congested as really I can't imagine a rural cell being too loaded with calls and text messages.
fine here
Haha, sorry mate. Just happy to see in the new year.
Happy new year!
im only messing happy new year matey
Three to/from EE and Three to/from O2 (yes, O2!) are running well. EE is running slower than usual though.
wonder if femto users are effected by late msgs etc (sorry needed to ask )
iMessage appears to be a bit off too (using wifi)
I'd expect so, they're connected to the core network like everyone else, just in a different way. To be fair though I'm probably not the best person to ask, so I'm probably wrong.
Funny you mention Vodafone - I've texted two people on it from Three, the messages have been delivered but no reply as of yet.
talking about femtos not seen devon for a while
No reply for me either but I'm putting that down to being crap at replying (that's typical) rather than network issues
