Trying to watch this week on bbc iplayer, pressed red button ch 901 but just a blank screen(itv player works), http://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.uk/help/information/humax
this page has a table showing which humax boxes are now compatible with bbc iplayer,
it states foxsat hd & foxsat hdr are not certified devices, has the new bbc iplayer update rendered foxsat`s no longer usable for bbc iplayer?, it used to work.

I have just tried with my Foxsat HDR and the screen shows BBC iplayer then when you press red just a blank screen. Seems ridiculous when it has been working fine for nearly 6 years. Not very impressed!

Just tried it again tonight and it is now working although it is quite slow to load after pressing the red button. :)

It seemed to be broken last night. Was stuck on black screen after press red from 901 for a couple of minutes. I gave up waiting and watched something else.

    Cheers,
    David.

I'm also having the same issues with my Samsung Freesat Box. Iplayer screen comes up but when I press the red button it doesn't load.

Tried to watch HIGN on ch901, but would not load, managed to view via red button bbc news hd, when prog ended it froze and not responding to remote inputs, i think there is definitely something up with iplayer and foxsat hdr, possibly it and other older freesat boxes are know longer compatible(hardware/software).

Not having any problems with iPlayer on my Foxsat.

It was all working perfectly well last night. :)

I think you misunderstood the table - it showa that the two Foxsats do not support HD playback.

Broken again this morning on my Foxsat-hdr. ITV player is working OK, so not a local network issue.

And no radio as well :)

Best quality is SD HQ on a Foxsat. It's working again after not working all morning.

    HD playback works for me?

There is no HD playback on the Foxsat-HDR/Foxsat-HD iplayer. Best is HQ 576i. For 720p iplayer you need a freetime box or a HDR FOXT2/HDR 2000T

Ah! I got my wrist slapped last time I said HD was only HQ. Still better than SD though.

It is SD just rather better SD than the low quality option. It's still inferior to a good SD broadcast transmission due to limited bitrates. HD has a minimum of 720 lines.
