Ah two things you don't know the definition of Science and Irony.
Ok enlighten me. If science is meant to be factual, how come they get it wrong a hell of a lot of the time?
Can't say I care that I don't know much about science, we can't even cure any diseases yet. I'd probably be more interested in it if it wasn't such a disappointment.
It was just an example in the case of swine flu, I wasn't completely serious. I didn't say psychics were true, but science is meant to be, it's scientific, like a fact right? But they still get it wrong, ALOT. So why should science be any more valid if they can't even get it right half of the time?
Sorry I must still be getting my head around this scientific stuff  Well if they erred on the side of caution, how very convenient
Science is a systematic study of the world based on the evidence that is available. The technologhy around you, indeed the technologhy you are using to hold this debate are the result of applying the findings of such methods.

I thought you said that it was ironical?
"we can't even cure any diseases yet." - I've just got off the phone to the local Hospital to tell them not to bother as they are clearly wasting their time.
How do you know that it's such a disappointment if you don't know much about it?
They are listed as 'shocking predictions' but are just a load of predictions about US sport stars and zelebs.
I did laugh at the Lady Ga Ga one, 'proved female in Feb 2010- success' if they'd bothered watching Glastonbury last year they wouldn't have been in any doubt..

You are probably right there, the application of science has however erradicated once wide spread diseases such as smallpox.

Science simply is the attempt to find the best answer with the information they have at hand.
Oh and they cure 10000's of diseases and help alleviate the symptoms of 10000's more, your sheer ignorance of this is astounding.

Ok we can't cure many diseases yet then, to name but a few-AIDS, cancer, mental illnesses, dementia etc etc.
I did know about science but it bored me so much and I didn't trust everything the teachers told me. First it's "coffees good for you, coffees bad for you, same for red wine, meat causes cancer, no it doesnt" blah blah blah.
We caused global warming...actually we probably didn't cause global warming, it's all natural. I could've predicted that, have these scientists ever heard of the ice age?

Are you sure? Lots of people get cancer, have operations/treatments that make the cancer go away, then go on to live their lives. Sounds like a cure to me!
When you get ill, do you go to see your GP and accept (scientifically developed) treatment or do you put your money where your mouth is, think that science is rubbish, and take your chances?
My guess is they use celebrities so their predictions can be validated and we would all know it. Guessing an older celebrity is going to pass away is not so shocking but some of their other ones would show some ability I suppose if many of them come to pass for the same psychic.

Yes but it never has over the centuries they've been practising and yet we still have people unable to accept this fact.
This is what troubles me...having people claim to be speaking to Mary and things like that and it's a sham....I wonder if people are believing in this prediction too?

Quoted entirely without comment.

I'd also prefer not to comment.

I am fairly sure this guy has been wrong many times though.
He has.
He has also helped some people wreck their eyesight.

Mr Coleman appears to be a bit of a lunatic.
I look forward to his prediction for tomorrow failing to materialise.
The activities of Mr Coleman have been commented upon a number of times. See http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=35993354&postcount=419
