Yes , it was the earlier one. As for the later one, the other three must have been so overawed by the first host's parents' money that they gave him high scores for what looked a pretty ordinary meal.

I'm assuming the money was his parents', not earned by him, because he seemed to me to be of fairly limited intelligence. Maybe the servants prepared it!
I thought maybe they were lottery winners or something, I can't remember if Dave Lamb mentioned what he actually does for a living! But it smacks of "new money" anyway, and yes, with such high scores given on the first night it would be nigh on impossible to match up to it, and I agree the meal was nothing special, they were just wowed by the surroundings!

I watched it, and it was definitely one of the best Come Dine's of 2012. Nobody being a bitch for the sake of being a bitch, nobody moaning about anything and everything and a bloody good laugh as well. Shame they can't all be like that.
