Don't sit on your 3DS. . or key it. .or throw it at the sun. . or stare at its hinge!

Just incase you were planning on attacking vases with it (you dirty Vase-bashing-beasts!). . .or staring at the back of it. . .or you were afraid of a rubber duck trying to kill your baby by pushing the 3DS off a table onto the childs skull!

Safety first people!

Just think... for every one of those warnings there was (at one point or another) someone in the world that necessitated it's creation.

Don't let my 3DS get too close to the sun? I'll try my best.

No promises on the vases though.

Police Officer: Ma'am what exactly happened in the kitchen the day of your daughter death?

Woman: Well sir. I was just cleaning my hands an I heard my daughter waddle in. I turned around and I saw a toy duck paddle across the table and push the DS off the table onto my daughters head, killing her.

    Police Officer: ......a duck.......

The sitting one could actually mean not to swallow it and try to crap it back out, as it'll get stuck half way

I can figure out the other warnings, but I'm completely lost about the hinge staring. :D

I think the "staring at the hinge" thing is a warning about the telescopic stylus which pops out the back and could poke you in the eye.

Like the stylus is on a spring and is triggered by looking diretly at it !

The one with the guy staring at the hinge blatantly means that you shouldn't stare at it if you have laser beams coming out from your eyes. *tut*

It's almost worth buying a 3DS to see those images in the manual.
It would be hilarious if they didn't bother to print an English explanation. :D

According to the manual, the reason you can't stare at its hinge is because it's an infra-red receiver and it could damage your eyesight.....
