The SS Great Britain is good. The suspension bridge has a little info booth attached. And I'm sure there are lots of Bristol specific ones if you google.

Try M shed its on the harbour side from what I remember. Easy, close parking and it "does" the history of the city too. Also has some lovely Benin Bronzes.

    Well if you'd said that....

Seriously the SS Great Britain is worth a visit.

M Shed is free too (I think).

There's also Bristol Museum and Art Gallery which is at the top of Park Street.

Not weird at all. Just how it sounds with a Bristolian accent.

Think West Country but a bit different...
Hard to explain tbh. Daughter is there at uni and has a Bristolian boyfriend. She is starting to sound very Bristolian on the phone :)

I was born and live here. People call it Brizzle or Brissle all the time.

OP, you should go on Amazon and buy the Brissle dictionary, so you can translate things properly :D

Boring place. Not achieved much since slavery and tobacco went out of fashion. Suggest you go elsewhere.

You've either never been here or are trolling. Either way, you're wrong.

The M shed is the new museum for the history of Bristol and is very good. The Museum and art gallery is a general museum of history (Egypt, dinos, animals, as well as the local area), but well wrth a look if you get time

Bristol is an extremely vibrant lively city.

OP forgot to add the Wallace and Gromit people are in Bristol and I think they have a visitors centre as well if that grabs your fancy.
