    Even use a password tester

    use at you own risk

    Mine those actresses who had their pictures hacked apparently has easily guessable passwords.

    Also 10,000 passwords

    I typed a random selection of 20 numbers and letters (which mimics all my passwords) and got the above.

    One of my passwords used to be vicarinatutu. My husband couldn't remember it, he rang my mobile when I was in a public loo and he's as deaf as a doorknob. I don't know how many times I had to shout vicarinatutu down the phone to him. What the women in the other cubicles though I was up to I have no idea.

    I prefer passwords that only take 1Million years to crack.

    Because proper password etiquette is wrong. Sites and services force us to use capital letters, numbers and alternative characters to make the password more secure, which only results in people using as easy as possible of a password to remember.

    More secure of the two of these? Easier to remember?

    We are forced to use complex passwords, so folk make them short, using pet names and such like and try to remember where they placed the number for each website.

    vicarinadogcollar takes 8Million years to crack.

    ........that’s a shocking indictment on today’s society.

    10 minutes for my password on here.

    3 minutes for Facebook.

    7 hours for online banking.

    0.0000025 seconds for my phone.

    Think I need to up my security :blush:

    My mate is from Yorkshire and his password is 'Tin tin tin',
    Which of course is literally translated as; 'It isn't in the tin'.

    I use KeyPass for this.It lets you generate very secure long random passwords for your various accounts protected by a master password that you pick. So you can have lots of really long complicated passwords but only ever have to remember a single one. It's really useful and free.
