Did The Doctor cause the recession?

Apologies but I'm just back off leave and so I'm making silly posts rather than start work.

Anyway, I caught a repeat of "Journey's End" on Watch last weekend and towards the end as the Earth is being towed home by the TARDIS there are scenes of Donna's home and the Hub shaking around earthquake like.

Now having had a couple of small earthquakes where I live I'm aware of the flood of insurance claims that get made afterwards and it got me thinking. It wouldn't be just London and Cardiff shaking around it would be the entire world, that's a hell of a lot of insurance claims. Possibly every insurance firm in the world would be paying out millions and needing to raise capital, possibly by selling their shares. Hence flooding the market, lowering their value and destabilising the banks

Of would they just all claim "Act of God" and refuse to pay out...or maybe there's an "Act of Doctor" clause in the small print these days.

:D
