I'm trying to convince myself it'll be like Utopia (not liking it to start with but turning out great in the end) but have a nagging feeling it's just crap.
Watched for 45 mins & couldn't take no more after that 'well, they thought you know, but you know' bit just now. Apart from the lamppost bit which was quite funny, it's been a try-hard load of shite.
Dreadful. The forced delivery is commented on the the Radio Times preview. Unfunny, and actually quite tasteless. Doesn't help that it has three of my least-favorite actors (Walker, Nesbitt, Joseph - the unthinking man's Adrian Lester), not that it is factually very sloppy (like the 'Scotland Yard' stand in, the exterior of which [digitally extended] is a building on the northern shore of the Thames in the City, but the interior is literally miles away, as can be seen quite clearly from the views).
Don't exactly know what that was trying to achieve or satirise. God knows how that was from the same pen as the guys who brought us the genius that was Peep Show.
