A new bit of kit is being issued to our troops in Afghanistan to protect their private parts from road-side bombs..... lovingly kick-named The Combat Codpiece.

Can't have shrapnel in your bits now... can ya?! :D

    its a long overdue addition in my opinion.... its not just about preventing damage to a soldiers "bits" but also due to the amount of arteries etc than can be sliced open.

    the majority of explosions travel up over due to the way IEDs etc are positioned.... the groin was one are that wasnt protected yet the force of a blast travels straight at it.
