So, you're all dressed up. The table is booked. You've got champagne cooling, chocolates in a heart-shaped box and a lovely bunch of flowers too.
But which Doctor Who character - past or present - have you invited along as your Valentine's Day date?

No one better than the Duchess!
And if he's not available, Turlough would make a very nice substitute! But he might have to wear his trunks.

Sorry, he's not available 'cos he's out with me. You'll have to go with your second choice.
I'd be equally chuffed with Rory, but I suspect k9fan has already booked him.
If I were straight, I'd say Clara.
Along those lines I'd say -
Ben
Polly
I like Gingers, they are very good looking. That's probably partly why I like Catherine Tate and Patsy Palmer a lot.
But as I'm a man I'd definately say Clara Oswin Oswald!

She's close to my age. Also, she's very pretty. Most of the other female characters in the programme are either married or elderly, e.g. Amy Pond, Martha Jones, Donna Noble, Sarah Jane Smith, Susan Foreman (she's married to David from DIOE and she's now elderly), Leela, (she's married to a Time Lord, plus I believe she died in the Time War), and Tegan (She's elderly now), Ian and Barbara (married each other in the end, according to Sarah Jane Adventures).
Carey Mulligan is pretty.

I wish Russell T. Davies had used her as a companion and NOT Freema Ageyman. Maybe Steven Moffat could cast her as a companion after Clara goes. Who knows, eh?
I doubt it now that she's in bigger stuff, like Drive and the upcoming Great Gatsby film
I heard she was offered season 4, but turned it down because she thought Doctor Who fans were weird.
I liked Sally but I think her one time appearance in Blink was enough with the character.
